We all have two sets of eyes: our two physical eyes and the eyes of our spirit. It is critical to have the eyes of your heart open at all times. Pray, then, in the name of the Lord that they will be opened up. Call forth the spirit of revelation into your life.

O God, come to my assistance, O Lord, make haste to help me
The monks in Ireland were well known for their ability to calm the mind and find union with God. Then we can try to empty our minds of all other thoughts and focus on the prayer, “O God, come to my assistance, O Lord, make haste to help me,” reciting it over and over, “revolving it” in our hearts. In this way, we can open the door to God’s presence and listen attentively to what he has to say to us. It’s a beautiful exercise, one that has a rich tradition that has been used by countless monks and nuns for centuries. https://aleteia.org/2019/03/15/here-is-a-helpful-meditation-technique-used-by-irish-monks-of-old/
Legacy - 3. Purpose
Better People Make Better All Blacks.
Humans, by their nature, seek purpose - a cause greater and more enduring than themselves.
He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.
Why are we doing this? Why am I sacrificing myself for this project?
Ask Why?
Legacy - 2. Adapt
The Decision Cycle or OODA Loop. OODA stands for Observe, Orient, Decide and Act.
The role of the leader is to know when to reinvent, and how to do it.
Go for the Gap - When you're on top of your game, change your game.
Legacy - 1. Character
What is my job on the planet? What is it that needs doing, that I know something about, that probably won't happen unless I take responsibility for it? It might be something as simple as sweeping the sheds. Either way, it begins with character, and character begins with humility.
A collection of talented individuals without personal discipline will ultimately and inevitable fail. Character triumphs over talent.
Winning takes talent. To repeat it takes character.
Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is a nightmare.
Sweep the Sheds - Never be too big to do the small things that need to be done.
Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature... If the NEXT CENTENNIAL does not find us a great nation... it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.
James A Garfield
God is in a good mood and he is for you. Christ’s wounds are the one and only eternal and ever present fount of mankinds healing. He died so that we might live. He’s not showing you how to suffer and die, He vicariously suffered and died your death on your behalf... John Crowder
Joy is rooted in the gospel reality that my depressed self died with Christ on the cross 2000 years ago and now I am 100% united to Mr Joy. Joy is a person and our daily awakening to this gospel reality, this realization of our union with him, is mind blowing... John Crowder
I let out the sails of my heart, here I am, here you are.
I’ve spent so many years stuck in my head Couldn’t see past myself And all this time you were right here in front of me A part of me Inside of me And patiently you spoke to me And you set me free So naturally I’m living from my heart I’m living from my heart This is just the beginning This is just the beginning This is just the beginning Of a new way of living with you With you"
Give up and fall back into the arms of the gospel news that you are already fully accepted, included and loved.
Joy is a fruit of the spirit, not depression. Tune in to the infinite gospel joy that is already ours. Joy is a person.

"We can keep wallowing in these things, or we can set our eyes on the victory we have in Jesus and somehow believe this crazy better than good, good news that He has actually dealt with all of this stuff."
You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you.
Frederick Buechner, Telling the Truth
