as the world cup starts, I don't want it to overshadow what is currently going on in Mexico. There have been many issues stemming from the government prioritizing the world cup in the last months, and particularly, Las Madres Buscadoras (searching mothers) have been very vocal about the government suppressing the facts about the horrible disappearance rate in the country, taking down missing person's posters, mocking mothers who are out there looking for their children, and arresting them violently at peaceful protests. These are people looking for missing loved ones and the government meets them with violence.

i was not expecting all the anime original content in the ganbare nakamura adaptation. and this last episode just fucking DESTROYED ME. the reason this manga works so well is because okuto is extremely relatable, at least i find myself having done and thought the exact same things as he did when i was his age. even today the reactions i have are so similar. the fact that he's so fucking wrecked is so heartbreaking and it really hits close to home. im sorry nakamura, please, please ganbare. T-T

Anime is done and i forgot to post my opinion of the last chapter here, i was so tense the whole week. but then... I GOT BAITED. They were just extending a manga arc that lasted only 1 chapter, here is the whole finale. I loved how much the anime managed to extend the manga's content, ugghghgh.

Nakamura is so relatable, man. I loved the adaptation so much, please please please I hope they release more manga or continue anime only I dunno. This is just so wholesome to watch. TToTT

The whole park scene in this episode was splendid, and at the end we can se how Nakamura slowly comes more out of his shell. You can say things Okuto I promise!!! I can feel how genuine their connection is through the animation and voice acting. The seiyuus did a fantastic job, specially Nakamura's, what a compelling protagonist. UGHGHGHGH, i can't believe it's over. ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )

Kris being the only human in a monster town as a queer (specifically trans) allegory makes very little sense considering that not only are there other trans people in town (the transfem waitress with a lions mane) but they're not even the only trans person in their class (monster kid is also nonbinary). I obviously don't know the guy but if this was the message Toby fox was going for i think itd really undermine his queer isolation metaphor by surrounding them with other queer people who are treated casually like its not an issue

"Only human in a monster town" is clearly supposed to represent them being a poc and/or foreigner in a predominantly white/monocultural neighbourhood and a transracial adoptee. Like they literally used to wear fake horns to make themself look like their adoptive family. But the average utdr fan is a white lgbt who is incapable of recognising marginalisation that's not focused on queerness and whose understanding of adoption is "found family trope"
