Rhea looked up at the sound of the voice to see the other woman standing there and she realised she didn’t recognise this newcomer but Bellamy probably had told her who she was, though right now it had slipped her mind. She just nodded her head softly before letting out a soft sigh, placing her hands in her lap. “That seems to be be alot of people’s problem these days.”

“Death and destruction can be hard to get used to.” Emori replied simply. It was something she’d seen a lot of in her own life. This had especially been the case after she had been exiled and had to fend for herself. Humanity was cruel, and only the strongest survived. Sometimes that involved the death of others. “It will pass. Sooner or later. It always does.”

Rhea wakes up from a recurring nightmare, images from being inside mount weather and the irradiated bodies of the innocent men, women and children who died there. Those images she still couldn’t shake after 3 months, still haunting her. She gets up from bed, throwing blankets off and changes into her clothes as she pulled on her jacket, gloves, scarf and boots before exiting her room as she made her way through the halls of the Ark until she was outside and over to fire that was going, taking a seat on a log. She clasped her hands together, bringing them up to her lips as she stared into the fire in thought.

“You seem haunted.” Emori told the other woman. They were all haunted. In order to survive every single one of them had killed. There were no innocents now. Nobody was going to come and save them from themselves. All they could do was live with themselves. “I couldn’t sleep either.”
