Part of why academic preg is so hot is because college campuses are objectively one of the best places to waddle around. You have big bags to carry with important papers that simply cannot be forgotten, so there's always extra encumbrance; since classes adhere to a schedule, you always have to rush from one place to another with no time to lose. Classes can be held in completely different buildings on opposite ends of campus with as little as 10 minutes to get from one to another. All the while, everyone else is also on the move, but since they don't have so much extra weight to carry around, they can afford to take a minute or three to watch you struggle to get from one place to another with a wide gait and pronounced waddle.
