Okay not specifically AU-related but something I’ve been thinking about. When Mabel’s trying to do good deeds in The Last Mabelcorn her list is briefly shown, and one of the crossed out items is “Abolish Electoral College”.

We also know from a statement by show creator Alex Hirsch that Fiddleford McGucket won the 2016 election and became the 45th President of the United States.

As I’m sure anyone who was around then knows, in 2016 Donald Trump won the electoral college but lost the popular vote.

Did Mabel single-handedly prevent Trump from ever becoming president?

Introducing Gravitystuck Bill Cipher (and also Bipper, he's here too). He's the First Guardian of Euclydia but it's not like he tells people that, the only information he volunteers when asked is that his home dimension is destroyed. Hell, he deliberately steered Stanford away from figuring out the truth after he found Earth's First Guardian.

His nature of being a First Guardian of functionally nothing inherently means he's doomed. The portal is his first step to fixing that - his ultimate plan is to force-start a SBURB session and hijack the Ultimate Reward to claim the created universe for himself and his Henchmaniacs. This is helped along greatly when a certain new-in-town scientist decides to have his house built atop the cavern that contains the Frog Temple.

His color scheme has been changed from yellow/black to the white/green of a First Guardian, and his eye is now blank white. When he possesses people they lose their pupils, which is more obvious than having differently-shaped pupils like in canon but at least he found a dimension where people like Ghost Eyes exist.

What if Gravity Falls but instead of canon circumstances the threat is SBURB. Stanford built the Mystery Shack above the Frog Temple. Bill wants a SBURB session to happen so he can steal the Ultimate Reward (full dominion over a new universe). The zodiac ten are all paradox clones destined to play. The apocalypse happens because Ford neglected to tell the 12 year old living in his house not to play the interesting-looking computer game on his shelf. You get me, right?
