After the Abstraction, people don't leave the Circus, but they don't die either. Instead, they end up in a place variously called "Basement 2," "The Bottom," "The Green Scratch," "The Digital Guardhouse," "The Prison," "The Green Dimension," and others. This place completely breaks people's minds, after which they either disappear completely or become part of the place's staff.

This image depicts Kaufmo, who earlier drove Ribbit to a nervous breakdown with some prank, and the place's commander, Queenie, who is about to "reason" with a lecture on the history of the Circus.
