But there’s one character that isn’t a badass nor deep as the ones I mentioned but manage to be the most beloved and the one that I root for and it’s. Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtiz from Phineas and Ferb
Unlike most characters, he isn’t deep like the rest, a badass and not really villainous, in fact he’s pretty much a loser but that’s what make him such a great character. He’s such a loveable idiot that can’t be taken seriously but just smile and laugh everytime he’s on screen.
Many schemes that are not in evil traditional sense but him being overly dramatic and most of his inators aren’t even violent such as
Turn himself into a platypus to be equal terms with Perry the Platypus
Built an Invisinator so he won’t have to see the Fireside Girls when their selling him tickets or chocolate
Built an Atomic Leafblowerinator to blow leafs at his neighbors leafs back at him
But what makes him such a great character is his hilarious and tragic backstory. His parents didn’t show up the day of his birth, threw himself his own birthday parties, his father replaced him with a dog named “Only Son”, raised by ocelots, lost Baloony, his brother overshadowed Heinz, family distowned him and getting a divorce. Despite everything he’s been through, he better himself and doesn’t let his past change who he is.
Doof and his wife are divorce due wanting different things but still keep in touch and never once mention in one of his tragic backstories
At first he and Perry were enemies but as time passed, they became more friendly towards each other and even became friends
But the highlight of his character is his relationship with his daughter, Vanessa. Focus all of his enery to be their for Vanessa, providing support and being their for her. Sets up a suprise birthday party. spent many years to find Mary Mcguffin doll for her even she’s a teenager. Suprvise her camping trip. His daughter talk to him that he isn’t a villain but a good person that just pretending to be evil. He listens to her and needed directions of being a good guy.
In Milo’s Murphy he tries his best to be a good guy throughout the show. At “Act Your Age”, he truly gave up being evil and sided with good.
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is the greatest cartoon character that’s ever been created. He isn’t emotionally deep, complex, a badass or hilarious like other characters but such a fun character that I can’t help but smile everytime he’s on screen. He tries to be a villain but really, he’s just a good person that’s pretending to be evil who just needs direction.
