some people can’t give up. l i k e u s.
Did you like Hershel? When he faced grief in season 2 he went off to find alcohol too
Actually I was kind of mad about him. He didn’t just put himself in danger, but the others too. Though maybe he didn’t thought that the others would go after him …
But to answer your question; Yeah, I liked him. A lot!
I’ll explain why it didn’t bother me as much as Beth’s alcohol scene, but just let me throw Bob in here too, okay!?
Bob started as an annoying character running after his alcohol, even though I could understand his struggle, because we saw how hard he tried to let his alcoholism go.
And that’s it.
Hershel and Bob were both alcoholics BEFORE shit went down.
Even though Hershel were clean for a lot of years, everything just broke down on him. You could see how desperate and lost he was when Shane and the others killed the Walkers at the barn. He thought he lost everything he believed in. At this moment, he didn’t noticed that he just needed to stay at his daughters side, but it just needed a little encouragement from Rick (and Glenn) until he understood that this is wrong.
Bob was still an alcoholic when everything went down. It’s hard to just stop the urge to drink. I hated how he held onto his alcohol for so long, but I loved it even more when he finally could let everything go. He was so positive and kind of loveable after this.
Both, Hershel and Bob, went from this minor (sometimes annoying) character to a lovely positive one.
The difference here is that Beth walked around like a little kid who desperately tried to get alcohol while we already knew that she’s actually a strong and independent girl who don’t really needs this.
Maybe it’s even a bit personal. I don’t like characters who have a alcohol problem, but I can start to like them when they overcome this. While at the other hand I try to distance myself when someone I like suddenly starts to (wants to) consume a lot of alcohol.
That's why I am sad how the writers handled Beth's character. I loved her so much. Especially after they showed us how she was the one pulling Daryl and herself along while they were on their own.
do you like beth?
I liked her during the 3rd Season. A lot actually. She didn’t had too much screen time, nor did much, besides caring for Judith, but she had something at her that I really liked. Especially when you think back at how she wanted to kill herself in the 2nd Season. She showed us, and everyone, that she’s indeed strong.
Unfortunately the Episode with her desperately searching for alcohol was a no-go for me. I don’t know, it seems immature and unnecessary. I know that everyone deals different with losses and these stuff, but that was too much. Especially because she was showed as a strong character an Episode before, who wanted to do everything to find the others.
The hospital episodes aren’t even near my favorites, but I started to like her a bit more again, because it showed how strong and independent she is.
So, yeah, it’s a long reply, but I just wanted to make clear that she was/is a well-liked character for me, and it was a shame how the writers handled her.
[…the explosion] was awesome, except it was so hot and I’m down there and I’ve got my eyes closed, and then I feel like…the heat from the explosion which is way down there, and there’s no shrapnel flying or anything like that, but I thought maybe something landed right at my foot and was aflame and it was going up my arm, so I grabbed the bags and I got out of there.
I had a sibling. I was not alone.
Ready to die from cuteness!!! Here are some gifs of MMB from the Q&A at Dallas Fan Days.
Enjoy!! Reblog the shit out of this stunning woman! The world deserves to flail over the Queen!
The Walking Dead 30 Day Challenge Day 6: A Couple you love - Daryl and Carol
These two… man. The scene in season 5 where they are finally reunited really pulled at my heart strings. I love these two so much. They’re not even an official couple, but let’s be honest, they are perfect together. C’mon Walking Dead people, just make them get together already!
Tyreese standing by forgiving Carol up until his final moments
(also the closest we’ll get to the Carol/Governor scene I always wanted)
Who I was with him… she got burned away.
And I was happy about that. I mean, not happy, but… And at the prison I got to be who I always thought I should be, thought I should’ve been. And then she got burned away. [1/2]
favourite character meme: [2/4] scenes:
“She woke up, and it was like her husband had taken out the trash for her and she didn’t even have to ask. Or he had put gas in the car and washed it without her having to ask. Like she could have been doing everything. Her thank-you wasn’t even necessary because there’s an understanding between them. Be it friendship, be it whatever it is. There’s an understanding.” - Yvette Nicole Brown.
your url reminds me of how much carol-fans referred to her as a queen BEFORE Gareth called her "grey-haired queen bitch." Like how much more awesome---its canon that she's queen and I can't like CAN YOU???
I can’t, either!!!!!!
It was so awesome when Gareth referred to her as Queen (Bitch). And I was like “Hell yeah! Queen!”
And the best is that even the media are catching up on this!!!!
But Melissa is a great actress and portrays Carol’s character amazingly! ♥
