I really don’t want to have to make this kind of plea because I try to avoid asking for help but I really don’t have any other option.

My mom has been abusive all my life and I don’t know why I keep going back even though it always gets bad, but I do. Today, she stole my debit card and used the money I just got from family for graduation (which I was going to use to buy a plane ticket to my job in Memphis) to buy things for herself. Now not only do I have no means of getting out, but I also will soon not have a phone because she also took what I was going to use to pay my bill. I literally have $5 in my account and my bank said that it is possible to get the funds returned but the investigation would take two weeks. So for now, I’m stuck home with my mom because she begged me to come home before I moved out of state, and I thought things would be different this time. I was wrong and I need to get out otherwise I don’t know what I would do because right now I see no escape. I have a friend who said I can stay with her once she gets back into town on Friday, but until then I have no means of getting to a more permanent solution.

Because of my job during the school year, which just provided a small stipend of $103 a month along with housing, I wasn’t able to save and was relying on my graduation money to get me out. Since finding out she took my money, my mom has been even more emotionally abusive and because she now knows I’m gay, she’s been using the worst kind of slurs and saying some really awful things that I can’t repeat because if I think about them it makes me worse.

So...I'm broke!!

My mom only works in the weekend.

My eldest sister is the one whose job covers our most basic necessities. She works so hard she doesn’t have a life outside the job/house routine anymore, and I can feel how much it’s weighing on her.

My middle sister was just fired because the company she worked for bankrupted.

I am a college student, sending my CV anywhere I can and can’t happen to find a job. The only money I make (supplementary classes for a kid) go for food, fruit, laundry etc; also, I have like 20€ in my credit card. That’s it.

We have so little money that our bills are already start piling, and little luxuries like pizza on the weekend have been suppressed.

I graduated today which was lowkey horrible but also today in general has been horrible. Like I have a lot of anger and sadness in me about something that's pretty personal to someone I consider to be basically one of the people I love most in the world and I don't want to disclose what happened because it's that person's story to tell but I am just not coping well with what's going on and what's happening with everything And also I may not get my degree conferred because my dumbass had a mental breakdown mid semester and hid it enough that no one realized I needed help but also didn't communicate with my professors that I was having mental health issues so

i know it’s been a minute since i’ve been on here... i’ve been having something of a rough last semester at college, and it was honestly nice to just step away from tumblr to focus on my close friends and my job and my schooling

the reason i’m posting right now though is because i just got word that someone very important in my life passed away. she was the advisor to one of the student orgs i’m in. she helped us build it from the ground up last fall, and she’s also one of the most important people in my school’s housing department (where i work as an RA) 

she had cancer. she told us in january but we were so so hopeful she would make it. she went back into the hospital not long ago. we thought it would be okay but it wasn’t. our RDs weren’t really telling us anything about her condition and honestly a lot of us were too afraid to ask but tonight they asked us to help put on a celebration of her life sometime this week because they didn’t think she would have much longer and that was shocking to hear but also not

she stopped coming to our org meetings in february but we were hoping she would get better. we wanted her to take time off so she could get better

and then maybe 15 minutes ago my RD let us all know that she passed away tonight and i don’t know how to process it

i knew it was getting bad especially when no one would tell us anything but i still had hope because she was such a beacon and she was so strong

it doesn’t feel real and i honestly don’t know what to say or do or think because she was such a pillar in our little community. everyone knew her and loved her and she was such an incredible advisor and such a strong person and so kind and thoughtful and so willing to listen to all of us RAs even when other people weren’t and i just don’t know how anything is going to go without her

i’m sorry for the long post but i’m honestly just trying to process it all and my two closest friends are both asleep and i don’t know where else to go or what to do or say or anything
