Brows rose, eyes growing that much bigger as the point of discussion was made so abundantly clear and concise. "Ah," Was all he managed to muster intially.
Though, when Komamura thought back to the application and what answers he'd given there was an unmistakable break in his usual calm demeanor. If his fur was no obstruction, surely the heat gathering along his cheeks and snout would be telling enough. It'd had taken him much too long for him to fill the form out, and the only reason he'd managed, in part, was thanks to his lieutenants push and efforts.
"So...So I see." Fingers grasp the parchment, unfolding it to look it over again, embarrassing as it might be, "Did I fill something incorrectly, or, is this a matter of declination?"
Oh now that was just cute. She watched as he awkwardly took the application back. Was this guy really a Captain?
No, she could see it plain as day. The guy wasn't sued to this kind of thing. He'd probably never sent a Valentines before, he was so nervous he didn't even seem to hear her direct question, instead focusing on the sheet of paper instead. But it wasn't the USUAL nervousness that she was used to.
This wasn't some shaky boned up mess she got feom the rare brave soldat. That false cool and suave nonsense that hid lesser intentions. He was being so damn earnest about it.
So she walked around him and stepped up into the air, invisible reishi steps to get up to his level and gently rest a forearm on his shoulder. She gave a smirk and gently reached in, pointing to the question he'd left blank.
"Right there. You forgot to fill that one out."
