for titans to be falling apart this third season just like they did last season and then bring it back with dick having a vision of mar’i… like for dick to have to confront that he’s most afraid of thinking of his blood family because all that’s led to is pain, for him to admit his fear has always been being abandoned or left behind, when he sees his dad, when he can apologize and get that simple affirmation of love in return, his path to the light, out of this mess, becomes clear. and it’s mar’i. this whole season has been attempting to be about family, and what that word means, specifically, what it feels like, and for dick who literally died because he let this hatred of jason overcome him, the way up is his own daughter. the family he wants. the family he has to fight for. literally that’s what it took to snap him out of it. his child his precious nightstar. how the fuck am i supposed to do anything else today
