There was an energy to the guy that mirrored that of an excited puppy and as much as Tanner would normally have scowled and told him to fuck off and leave her alone, she found herself instead letting out a slow sigh and letting him talk at her. "Yeah, I can see how it would be the better choice, going through life barely able to see," she remarked back her attention shifting towards the menu that was displayed up at the top of the counter. Her nose wrinkled for a moment in thought, eyes giving a quick scan. "Oh, yeah, some of that vegan ice cream shit. They've got a few dairy free ones, but like, fuck it. If you're having ice cream, you might as well go all in," she shrugged. Tanner was luckily not lactose intolerant at all, but she had a feeling that even if she was she'd still eat whatever she wanted. "Rocky road. Only flavor that matters."

"meh when you're a kid you'll do whatever you want so my parents were tired of fighting with me. the kids always know what they're doing and that it's right." he then heard her talking about the type of things he enjoyed eating. "yeah dairy free is also nice, i just enjoy the fruit flavor in a sorbet and it's light and refreshing. but if they don't have that then i'll probably go with some ice cream. i was thinking of some mint chocolate chip or mint oreo or something. rocky road is a good flavor, i don't enjoy chocolate based ice creams all that much, but i like the marshmallow with it."

Margaret smiled warmly as Grayson accepted her ask to join him at the table. "It's not that busy in here, but I figured I'd join a friendly and familiar face," she offered him a smile as she sat down across from him. "How have you been? We must be visiting different coffee shops lately, I haven't seen you." There was that and the fact that Margaret was throwing herself into her work for what she hoped to be the last time. Soon, she would talk to her father with the help of her brother about stepping away from the family business. @graysonxwright

"yes, i haven't been coming to the coffee shop much lately, i've been making my own tea so i haven't been going out to get mine." grayson let out a small chuckle. "how have you been? anything interesting happen in your life?"

Rohan had finished a long shift and he had texted Grayson to grab brunch at Driftwood Dinner. Rohan was excited to catch up with his cousin. It had been ages since he had really spoken and caught up with him. Well, Rohan had been so busy to catch up with people but he was finally making time for sure. He had ordered a cup of coffee while he waited for the other. The detective took a sip of his coffee and looked through his phone as he waited.

grayson was excited when he had heard from his cousin, rohan about getting together and getting brunch. he wasn't one to turn that down. he had walked into driftwood diner and looked around before he saw rohan and walked over to where he was sitting and joined him. "hey! how have you been? it's been a minute since we caught up. thanks for reaching out. i was wondering what i was going to be doing with my day and this is a great start."

The young man's accent hadn't gone unnoticed, but Noah refrained from asking what brought him to the 'other side of the pond', as the British often liked to refer it to. Instead he laughed at the other's comment, looking around to see the tragedy that was the amount of garbage that was scattered around the place. "Almost makes me think someone's trash bag has a hole in it and we're just picking up their junk as well." Had this been an animated short movie, that most likely would've been the case as well. "Okay, well. Don't hurt your back. You've still a while to do with it." His paternal side came out, the one he already developed as a teenager, taking care of his siblings-- their parents spending all their time in hospitals with their baby brother. It had made for a fast trip to adulthood. "Perhaps we should beg the mayor for better supplies. You'd think he'd approve." @graysonxwright

"i didn't even think about that honestly. like can you imagine that someone who is working here with us happened to have a hole in their bag and now we are just picking up what they have already picked up? that would actually be my luck and i wouldn't be surprised at the end of the day because that's just how it is for me." grayson shook his head as he thought about it. "well thanks for that, i will keep it in mind. i do have a lot longer that i need to make sure my back is usable." grayson liked that this gentleman was acting in a protective manner without even knowing him. "not too sure, i haven't been here that long so i don't know what the mayor is like and if he would approve of something like that but i don't think it would to hurt to just propose it to him."

grayson wasn't surprised that he was being asked for his license at the door, but then he was kind of annoyed when he got to the bar and found himself a seat and tried to order a drink but the bartender asked for his license again. he of course showed it to them before ordering himself a mixed drink and he looked over at the person to his right, "you know, i can't help that i look so young. i mean i guess it'll work out for me in the future but it's still annoying. like why even bother asking me for identification at the door?"

Dean was doing what he did best on his nights off from responsibilities, drinking- probably more than he should. He couldn’t hold back the chuckle that left his lips when the bartender asked the younger man for his ID again. “To be fair, you do look young” he pointed out, taking a sip of his drink, “Maybe they thought you snuck in somehow” he added with a shrug. “I had the opposite when I was younger, I started looking 21 when I was like 17 so I was never carded anywhere” Dean told him with a smile. His bad habits with drinking started fairly young, so his ability to easily get access to alcohol underage certainly hadn’t helped. “How old are you anyway?” He asked, curiously, as the boy did look like he might not be old enough to be there. @graysonxwright

"I know, I know.. I understand. I can't help it but I guess it's something that's going to work out in my favor when i'm older and I won't have to worry about looking older." Grayson replied to the guy that he was speaking with and he couldn't help but let out a laugh at himself because of how true it was. "that's pretty awesome actually. then you could get into anything you wanted at a young age, that's pretty good. i'm jealous." he said to dean. "i'm twenty one. i know i'm really cutting it close but i can't help what year i was born."

Even on her best days, Tanner was not the most charitable person. The small things that most people would brush off were things that she was willing to die on a hill over for no reason at all. When she was bumped from behind, the usual surge of anger swept around her, a huff of annoyance slipping out of her lips. It was, however, something she was trying to work on and rather than immediately snapping, she bit it back down and instead turned her head with an irritated look. "You should probably consider glasses," she remarked back, settling for a slightly rude sarcastic comment. That at least felt like a compromise to her usual level of ire. "The menu is ice cream, by the way. Shocker, I'm sure, but you know. Very original for an ice cream shop."

grayson instantly noticed the stance that the woman had and she was annoyed that he had bumped into her. he didn't blame her, but that's why he apologized because that's what you did when you bumped into someone. "honestly, i probably should. i feel like i used to have them when i was younger but then i just stopped wearing them so my parents were tired of wasting their time." he mentioned to her as he let out a laugh. "well i wasn't sure, i saw the name of the shop and frosty could mean a lot of different kind of treats. i've never been here before so i wasn't sure if they had other things. a lot of places do these days for people who are lactose intolerant. what flavor will you be getting?"

Hearing what someone said, Tomas looked around. Still, he saw who was saying it. "Well, some birds, yes...but some birds have never been outside and bred to be inside..." But he understood the younger male. "But we don't need another pet, and I don't need Jet to be upset with me," he smirked at Josie. "But maybe we can go and get you a new toy" to make up for the lack of getting a pet. But Josie was too young to understand any of it, really. "But they are pretty cute," he smiled at the birds. @graysonxwright.

"really? is that true? i didn't know that there were birds who were bred to be inside? that's actually a bit bonkers to me, but i love it. i mean i guess it makes sense. they say cats used to be completely outside but we managed to make them domesticated." grayson laughed a bit as he looked at the older individual. "how many pets do you have running around your house? or flying now that you mention birds." he teased.

He nodded, "I think work is like that for a lot of people, always." He wasn't always crazy; he did a lot of talking and hearing people talk, mostly. So he did need to drink it off on weekends, when sometimes it got a bit heavy. He smirked as he looked at the younger male. "Aw, you're sweet, so I want something sweet," he said, and ordered his drink as he passed his ID to the bartender. "MD?" the bartender mumbled, but Teddy nodded. "Yes, so clearly I can drink," he said, taking the drink from the man behind the bar. "Thank you, but next ones on me," he didn't mind that. @graysonxwright

"yeah, definitely. it's called work for a reason." he mentioned as he swirled around his current beverage that he had. "something sweet? do you normally go for sweet drinks? or is that just what you're in the mood for right now?" grayson asked curiously, wondering how others made their decisions in what kind of drink tey would be indulging in. "that's fine, we can take turns. i just like to be friendly." he said to teddy before looking him over and then smiling. "what brings you out? the drinks? music? both? did you come with someone and then ditched them? or did they ditch you?"

Today Tomàs was with his foster girl named Josey, she was three and a bit of a wild one, just at that age. She can really run around, talk back, and is young, so she has the energy. "Josie, you wild girl," he laughed. They were in one of the pet stores just so Josie could look around. "You see all the birdies?" he asked as he showed the young child around to the birds that were for sale, and some you could even adopt. The last thing his family needed was another pet, even a small one like a bird. He laughed as he saw the little girl so excited to see the birds. "I can try and talk your dad into it, but I don't know," he teased her, knowing Jet would say no about it. Not that they didn't love animals, they just didn't have the time for another one.

grayson didn't have any pets of his own and he didn't know much about them but he had made a friend in school who happened to get a puppy and he wanted to surprise them with a little gift basket of things. he had a basket hanging around his arm as he looked around the store for things that the puppy and his friend would enjoy like some toys, but also some cleaner and poop bags. he was walking throughout the store and he heard the man speaking to a little girl and he couldn't help but laugh. "birdies are meant to be out in the wild." he said softly, looking at the two of them. "they should be out with others like their own and even if you adopt it, i think you should let it free to let it fly." grayson mentioned to the two of them. he was hoping that he was helping the man in trying to reign in the child.

Teddy did love his job, and he worked hard to get where he was today. Years of school and practice had prepared him, but the job wasn't an easy one. So, he liked to go out on weekends to relax and have a good time. He knew it was good for him; he needed to be able to relax and have a good time. He didn't plan on talking to anyone or doing much of anything besides a few drinks and some dancing. He looked over from his drink with a smile at the younger male. "it's going well, actually. it's been a crazy week but i'm excited to have the opportunity to cut loose." was grayson going to drink too much? absolutely? was he going to make a fool of himself? yes. was he going to go home with someone random? well that was still up for discussion. he was still waiting for his opportunity to order and when the bartender came over, he spoke up, "vodka soda and whatever this gentleman wants." he said as he loooked over towards the handsome man.

grayson needed a night of letting loose. he was always busy and doing whatever school and work called for. even though it was summer and grayson didn't have to worry about school, he was still working a lot so he didn't let himself relax all that much. he was in high pulse and he had a drink in his hand dancing to the music. he took the last sip from it but needed another one. he had come with a friend but she didn't need a refill. he walked back over to the bar and he stood there and waited his turn. as he was waiting, he looked over at the guy standing next to him. "hey, how are you? having a good time?"

grayson wanted sorbet but he wasn't sure where a good place to get it was so he headed over to frosty bliss. he knew tey had ice cream but wasn't sure. so here he was in line, waiting his turn and he was on his tippy toes, trying to see the menu and he leaned forward a bit but he lost his footing and he ended up slipping and he happened to fumble into the person in front of him. "i am so so sorry, i totally did not mean that! i was too ambitious in trying to read the menu and i didn't realize how bad my distance vision is."

a lot of people would consider grayson to be a ghost with how light his skin was. he didn't get out to the sun a lot, especially with having to do school work and then working at the same time. cooking was a huge passion of his and while he knew a lot more than some of the students in his class, he still liked to study and stayed focused as much as he could. but today he was giving himself a break, well partially. he was still thinking about the classes for next semester but he was soaking up the sun as much as he could. he had an umbrella with him where he was currently sitting under because he didn't want to burn too quickly. he looked over and saw someone walking up on the sand. "hey, you looking for some shade? i know it's pretty brutal out here today. i don't mind sharing my umbrella shade!"

Margaret was a frequent goer of all coffee shops in Kismet Harbor. She cycled them in, rotating between the local businesses to assure that she had a regular barista at all of them. It had been something she'd been doing since she moved to Kismet Harbor too many years ago. As she stepped into the Daily Drip, she spotted one of the familiar employees taking a break. Margaret was clocked by another barista, her order in the words as she made her way over to the table. "Mind if I join you, Grayson?" Margaret questioned, a warm smile touching her lips as she gestured to the empty chair.

coffee shops was something that grayson knew very little about honestly. he could tolerate coffee but being from london, he was your stereotypical tea drinker. he loved it, but something he wasn't expecting was for america to have tea in their coffee shops as much as he did. maybe it was something that wasn't that uncommon aymore. he was at the daily drip and he was sipping on a tea that he got with the newspaper, reading it. he could sometimes be an old man stuck in a young guys body. he looked up when he heard the voice from the familiar voice. "oh yes, go right ahead. it's just me, myself and i today."

Noah said as he studied the litter grabber the other person was holding onto, the trigger only responding once every five squeezes. It made cleaning up squares all the more complicated than it had to be. "Either that or another auction like on valentine's day." He joked as he looked up at the other. "Want to swap with mine? grayson liked to help out around town and do what he could. it was probably the british in him and a lot of americans in his eyes tended to not want to take care of their earth. "oh i know, if we stayed here the whole time, mate then we would be here for days." grayson laughed a bit as he looked at the other and smiled softly. "it's okay, i appreciate it. i also brought some gloves where i can just get down there and pick up the trash with my hands."
