biography:
The south had always felt like home to Bailey. From a young age he and his siblings were helping their father on the farm tend to all of the animals as well as making sure they were able to get the crops taken care of so they could sell any products they had so they could make some extra money. They weren’t completely poor but they weren’t living the luxury life which is something that Bailey and his siblings never cared about. They tended to think that money came with arrogance and unappreciation and they never wanted to be like that. In High School, Bailey was incredibly popular even though he was the farm boy. Their family was known well around Dawsonville, GA as having some of the freshest produce and you always wanted more of it once you were done. Bailey didn’t have a lot of time for extracurriculars after school since he had to be home, but he did enjoy being in the choir. The family was able to spare a couple hours each semester for his concerts that he would have with the group. He loved singing and it soon became an outlet for him to channel all of his feelings.
While running the far was something his father wanted him to do, Bailey wasn’t interested in it. He wanted to leave Georgia and go somewhere else. He always appreciated everything that his family had given him, but he wanted to know what there was outside of farming. Bailey got into college in South Carolina for a simple business degree. He wasn’t sure where he wanted to go into life but knew it was more than just the farm work. He always wanted to do something with his voice as well, but he knew it wasn’t practical so it was something that he tended to just do on the side at karaoke nights.
After graduating college, he was just putting in applications for any business job while working as a barista at a local coffee shop in South Carolina. He remained there for a few years while he was also working as a bank teller. He liked the job, he was good with counting and math and enjoyed serving people, plus they were always going to need banks because there were people who were always going to be looking for loans and to have cash on them. He felt like something was missing though and he decided to get onto a dating site where he didn’t have his location preferences set and he met someone who was living in Kismet Harbor.
The two hit it off well with one another and he decided to take a weekend trip out to Kismet and they had an incredible weekend and he loved the ambiance of Oregon so he decided to pack up his car and move out to Oregon so that he could see what their relationship would hold. Well, it didn’t last terribly long but they have become good friends and Bailey doesn’t regret moving out to Oregon as he has been building a life for himself and he has plenty of opportunities to grow here as he was already promoted to the lead teller at his current bank, where they told him they wanted to make him a financial officer by the end of the year.

(tw: parental neglect, parental death, cancer)
Murphy Windsor was born tucked deeply into the opulent trenches of Emerald Mist, Kismet Harbor, where she was raised inside of the Sunset Ridge Townhomes to Claudia Windsor, a high-society socialite who was hard-nosed and always prioritized appearances over emotions, and Reginald Windsor, an alcoholic lawyer who epitomized neglect and allowed his wife to dominate their household while drowning his own sorrows in work and Jim Beam. Murphy's life was shaped by the delicate dance between the expectations from her mother and her own aspirations. Because of Claudia's coldness, it was instilled into Murphy a deep-seated belief that her worth is tied to her look's and her family's status. The relentless pressure to be perfect imbued her with a blunt demeanor, often coming across as harsh and unapproachable. She grew accustomed to an emotional void, longing for connection, yet often pushing others away with her standoffish attitude. It didn't help that the young woman entered the world of ballet, emerging herself even further into the kaleidoscope of perfectionism and detachedness.
Despite the seemingly glamorous life she held, Murphy's only true companion was her twin brother, her built-in best friend. However, the siblings diverge in their approaches to life; Murphy is more focused and serious with her ballet studies (though parties from time to time to take the edge off), embodying the rigors of a ballerina's discipline. Her twin, on the other hand, was a wild party animal, constantly up to no good and had their mother's head on an exasperated swivel.
Ballet was Murphy's only escape up until she turned eighteen. By then, she didn't know who she was outside of it. Her brother went off to Princeton, where he became the sad epitome of a frat boy, meanwhile his twin sister had no idea where to start. Fortunately, she had a trust fund to utilize, taking herself across the globe in her private jet to coast around the world and off of her good looks, in between her ballet sessions and recitals.
What officially dragged her back home to Kismet Harbor in March of 2026, after being in and out of town for nine years, was the formidable phone call she'd received from her twin. Their father was dead. Liver cancer which took him hastily. He didn't even have time to be sick. It was all Murphy could do to not completely break. She was angry. She was sad. She was relieved. All of the above. Not one emotion could be pinpointed inside her brain. So, Murphy let go. She let go of her rigidity and discipline. She gave up ballet. She stopped showing up at the dance studio. What was it all for? Who was it all for?
After the week of the funeral, Murphy decided to stay back in Kismet for good, gaining a place above Seaside Sweets in Crestill Meadows (one place she knew her mother wouldn't go looking), learning to reel from her father's passing and figuring out how to get back to ballet without feeling completely vulnerable. For the time being, she was a party animal, just like her brother.

Kat was born into a life that never allowed her the luxury of being a kid. Her father was gone before she could remember him and her mother lived a life riddled with alcohol, drugs, and men. From as young as she could remember, Kat had stepped up and been the adult in the household. That sense of responsibility only grew as the family grew. Her two younger half-sisters came into her life and from that point on, they were her main priority.
Stepping into the role of caretaker for her siblings was a simple one and more often than not it felt like a team effort. They leaned on one another when their mother failed to step up. Her world revolved around providing for her siblings, keeping them clothed, getting them to school on time. There wasn't much space for Kat to be anything else, but her sisters were and always would be her everything in life.
Work came early for Kat, who babysat and found jobs doing yardwork anywhere she could until her teenage years came along and she found herself with a steadier job on the docks. The man that hired her knew enough about her family situation to take her under his wing and give her something consistent with hours that she could swing with school and family responsibilities taking precedence. It was hard work, but it paid well and it kept food on the table, and Kat was willing to do what she had to do.
The job at the dock became her saving grace, a place to escape the pressures of her home life and throw herself into something that gave her no room to think about anything else. And then things changed. Catching up on unloading a shipment, Kat was stuck late at work and a bout of bad timing found her right in the middle of something she wasn't supposed to be. A late night smuggling run found Kat held at gunpoint, saved only by the fact that it was the man who had hired her that found her. It led to a choice. Leave and never speak a word of what she saw, losing her job and never coming back, or join them.
It wasn't even a question for Kat. More money for groceries outweighed the possible legal or moral ramifications of what she was doing. Without a second thought, Kat found herself fully entrenched in her newfound position. She moved crates, catalogued shipments, and over time became not just another cog in the machine, but a vital part of the operation. She was smart, capable, and even more, she was fascinated by the things she saw coming through the docks late at night.
Little pieces of history, artifacts each with a story all it own, a history that she could unravel and discover. Her work ceased to be just a means to an end and became a passion for Katerina. As her siblings grew older and went on to lives of their own, Kat found herself back in school herself. It was a late change in life, but a welcome one, where she finally felt she was pursuing something just for herself. It was a slow process, but eventually Kat graduated school, working her way through her undergraduate degree to a Master's and eventually a PhD in Archaeology.
Still working in some capacity with the same people, Kat has expanded her career. She is known in select circles as a dealer and finder of rare treasures, owning a private showroom accessible only to high-end clients that know what to ask for. To the world, she's a reputable archaeologist who runs an archaeological research company. They work with universities, contract with dig sites, do restoration projects and anything else in between. She dips her toes as a broker of arts and artifacts from around the world. But, to those in the know, she's the woman you call when you want something rare, priceless, or impossible to acquire by legal means.
Kat organizes expeditions and is constantly in the weeds of historical research tracking down missing artifacts from around the world to sell to the highest bidder. Beneath the sophistication she puts on with the titles and degrees she has is the thrill-seeker she's always been, navigating in the shadows as she hunts down treasures and scours the globe, willing to find anything for the right price. Her company gives her the space to build the networks and legitimacy she needs to hide the real career she's built for herself.
Through all of it, her family remains the anchor she never lets go of. She constantly checks in on them and supports them through anything, protecting them with the same devotion she had as a child. Life for her now is a balance between the loyal, respected family woman she portrays and the darker edges of her treasure hunting and black market dealings.

Kyson was born on September 5th 1982 and raised in Kismet, Kyson had learned from a young age that he had a certain responsibility put on him and he accepted it without any question at all. He carried it without any complaint at all. A complicated position especially seeing the worry, fear on his parents face the fear that they would lose their child and also the fear that he would lose a sibling. That fear and the fear he saw on his parent’s face left a lasting impact on him. Kyson grew up and developed into someone who was dependable, someone that you could always count on and call at any time of the day when you needed them. Kyson had always been a smart kid from an early age, logical but still emotional. A balance between emotion and logic, it was almost funny because the male felt like a bridge between the relationship of him and his siblings.
If there was a quote to describe him, it would be "The piano keys are black and white but they sound like a million colors in your mind” by Maria Cristina Mena. Music had always been a part of him, a talented pianist. His emotional escape especially when his logical mind could not process anything. His parents focused more on Devon, his younger brother and often ignored the needs of him and his siblings. His younger brother Devon had been born with a congenital heart defect, a severe one that really took a toll on his family. Kyson never blamed his parents for this, he tried his best to be understanding. Kyson had always been protective of his siblings equally and it broke his heart to see the fractured relationship between his siblings and his parents and Devon.
His faith was one of the most important things for Kyson but it was also complicated. It was something that he fought with. His parents religious and heavily involved in the church even more so during the first several of brother's life due to his condition. Moments of childhood and free time and hours were spent volunteering with his parents and siblings. Kyson did grow up and learned how to give back, he learned to be empathic with people which has not changed.
Kyson had always been smart, he did well in school, his logical mind, photographic memory came in handy when it came to science and history. He had a passion and love for science. He worked hard. Kyson was a social guy despite being an introvert and sometimes preferred to be reading than attending parties. He was also quiet but still in a way, was popular. Having a personality, a vibe and something about him that seems to draw people to him. Kyson left Kismet after high school and went to Harvard university after getting a full ride. He majored in Micro-biology and Business. It was at Harverd he met and became good friends with who he ended up working with in their company years. Despite the distance, he kept in touch with his siblings. Still feeling like a bridge between Devon and his other siblings.
Kyson never really thought about coming back to Kismet at all. Sometimes things never go the way one plans and so he returned. He returned a few years after his failed engagement where he got cold feet and called off his wedding a week before the day, breaking the heart of someone who cared about him and something that he regrets, hurting someone. He carried that pain with him. In Kismet he is trying to build a stronger relationship with his brother, being a support for him, being present and really there instead from a distance, connecting with his faith while working as a COO with his good friend Julian.

Rhea’s first few days on earth are a bit of a mystery to her and her family. She was found with a long letter at the local fire station. Her mother had left her in a bassinet, a long letter tucked in on the side, explaining how she was born at the local hospital, why her mother couldn’t take care of her; she was young and had gotten pregnant by her high school boyfriend who had disappeared at the first chance he’d gotten. And while her mother loved her she knew she couldn’t take care of her and going the official adoption route would take too long so she did what she could. Rhea’s birth certificate was there as well in case Rhea ever wanted to know her birth mother it had both her parents names, along with her height and weight at birth with that name—one she’d carry with her.
She’d been taken from the fire station to the hospital to get checked out and that’s when the Blakewood’s had heard about this little baby girl being abandoned and their heart’s tugged at the thought about her being put into the foster system. From the moment Daniel and Maria had laid eyes on little week old Rhea—it had been love at first sight. For Rhea too it was nothing short of a fairytale, one she often recited in her young age when anyone asked why she didn’t look like the rest of her family. She told them how she was literally placed in their hearts by a stork (aka. her birth mother)
Of course as Rhea got older, she did wonder about her parents and while Daniel and Maria had always told her about her birth certificate if she wanted to look for her birth parents—she hadn’t made that decision as of yet. Rhea was always shadowing her big brother Damon, idolizing the man from the first time she could walk, her steps leading her not to Daniel or Maria, but Damon, hands outstretched happily with a toothy grin as she collapsed on the carpet right in front of him. Her relationship with her family is her driving force, she is eternally grateful for their love and acceptance and will truly do anything to ensure their happiness. For their part, her parents also want the best for her and so their encouragement for her to live her dreams helped her make the decisions she did as a fresh graduate to not go to University first but instead travel to Europe for a few months.
The initial plan had been to return home at Christmas and then join college in January but Rhea had fallen in love—with Paris. Of course to stay there, she needed to find a job and so she started as a barista in a local Parisian cafe but slowly that led to her working in bakeries and perfecting the art of Parisian desserts. From there, her path led her to Switzerland where she enrolled in various workshops to better her skill but somehow that wasn’t enough for Rhea. That’s when she opted to return to France to officially learn the true art of making chocolate at École du Grand Chocolat Valrhona. She also undertook some workshops for specialized training at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and truly began understanding her passion.
From there—her path took her to London where she worked at various kitchens around the cities most prestigious hotels and shops, understanding not only the creative and technical skill required but the business side of things as well. And then came time to return to this side of the ocean and Rhea’s first stop led her to New York City. This is where she enrolled in the Institute of Culinary Education and spent some time honing her skills and bettering her technique to suit the palate here.
In 2017 she made the decision to return home to Kismet Harbor and for a bit, she worked at the Starlight Ridge Country Club until finally she came to the decision that the one thing Kismet Harbor was sorely missing was a chocolate shop. A proper place where people could come to sample her creations and she could freely work on whatever flavor combinations her heart desired.
Taking this idea to her family had been like a project, asking them to invest as silent partners but Daniel had taken one look at her powerpoint and let out a laugh before tossing her his chequebook; a moment that still makes her laugh.
Now Rhea is the proud founder of Velvet & Cocoa, a recognized luxury artisan chocolate brand that is highly sought after. There are days of course where she still thinks about opening the folder with her birth mother’s letter and searching for them but then her eyes fall on her family pictures and the urge to discover more—washes away. What if her finding out means she’s losing this part of herself, her identity that she holds so dear?
Personality wise, she’s incredibly ambitious and friendly. The running joke is, she’s never met a stranger and Rhea likes it that way. Her thought process is that there is already too much hatred in the world so if she can share a smile with someone and make their day better—why not?
Growing up around relationships like her parents, and of course Damon and his wife’s—Rhea deeply believed in a love that lasted. However she was beginning to wonder if she was destined for a love like that. She’s been lucky to have had some great relationships, always ending them on mostly good terms and trying to move on with a smile on her face. But now that she’s getting older, she’s almost wondering if she’s somehow missed the person she was supposed to spend her life with.

Sylvie Forst was born into an unstable home in Kismet Harbor. Her parents never wanted to have a child, and her mother falling pregnant didn't change that. Despite this, her parents did try, or at least her father did. Her mother left soon after her first birthday for a reason unbeknownst to Sylvie. Her father worked full time at a factory, trying to make ends meet for the two of them. Though he was a single parent, he never wanted his child to suffer, and he spent all of his time playing the part of both parents. Sylvie spent many days at daycare, but at the end of the day, she only knew love from the man. Her father, overwhelmed and imperfect, still did his best to raise her with kindness.
Growing up, she was an average child, but she always carried this feeling as if something about her was misunderstood. She tried her best to fit in with others in school, and did well bending to the expectations that she felt she needed to live up to, but nothing ever felt quite right. Most of her time was spent pushing this feeling down, and trying her best to fit into spaces that helped her to ignore it, even if she knew that she wouldn't be able to ignore it for long. She didn't yet know the words to describe her feelings, but she knew that she wasn't like the young boys around her. She hated when she would be forced to have her hair cut, or was told she couldn't wear dresses like the girls she went to school with. Whatever it was that she felt, it was an indescribable sadness, and all she wanted was to find a way to rid herself of that feeling.
It was at ten years old when Sylvie first discovered the freedom in makeup. She was always watching the older women around her as they applied their eyeshadow and lipstick, and she was fascinated by the way a little bit of makeup could completely change the way someone looked. Being that she was raised as a boy, she wasn't 'allowed' to wear makeup, so she'd instead admire from afar, imagining the ways she might do her own makeup if she was ever able to do so.
Over time Sylvie began to retreat inwards, finding that it was far more comfortable if she could just pretend like there was nothing wrong. There was a slow but steady change from the bubbly child she had been, into a quiet one that spent most of her time alone. At eleven, Sylvie hurt herself for the first time. There was some sort of release in harming herself, and if she could make herself hurt physically, she wouldn't have to feel the emotional pain. Despite not knowing what her feelings were, or why she felt so trapped within herself, she knew the pain it caused, and that was difficult for her to bear at such a young age. It didn't take long for her father to notice the change in his child, and he didn't know how to handle it himself, so he enrolled Sylvie into therapy.
Right before her twelfth birthday, Sylvie truly discovered what it was that she was feeling. One day during therapy, she opened up to her therapist about these emotions, and came clean about what she had been doing to herself. Through some work, her therapist helped her find the words for the things she was feeling, and helped her discover that she was indeed transgender. It was something she always knew deep down, but having the words to describe it was incredibly freeing. That was the moment that everything came in perspective, and she could see some sort of light in her sadness. With the words to describe her emotions, she felt like maybe she had found herself.
After discovering her identity, Sylvie would come out to her father. It took her a long while, as she feared he wouldn't accept her, but he was simply happy that he would be able to get his daughter back. Sylvie would start wearing clothes that made her feel more comfortable, change her name, grow her hair long, and finally get her own makeup. The love she had for the artistry of makeup was instant, and she would uncover a passion for it that she knew was deep within. She continued in therapy, and over time was able to heal from her self harm. Now that she knew what she was feeling, she didn't feel the need to hurt herself anymore.
Once Sylvie began high school, her identity was well established, and she was comfortable with herself—finally. It was in a cosmetology class that she found out she could make a full-time career out of makeup, and she decided she would be a makeup artist once she graduated. Now, Sylvie felt as though there was a clearer picture being carved out in her life. The once hopeless emotions were leaving her, and the light at the end of the tunnel was closer than ever.
After graduation, Sylvie spent her time sending in university applications. Later that year she was accepted into Chapman University, and began working hard towards her degree. She wasn't sure where it was exactly that she wanted to go with this, but all she knew was she was doing something with makeup, no matter what.
Now, Sylvie lives in a small apartment, working as a full-time freelance makeup artist. She runs an Instagram account where she fosters a following and finds her gigs. In her freetime, she builds miniatures of her dreamscapes.
