two-bit definitely tried with stand up comedy

he actually ended up making a lot of people laugh

he started making dirty jokes so he was kicked off stage

steve and soda put on a magic show together

it failed miserably but made people laugh

they where gonna have a rabbit as part of the trick but it ran off somewhere

a teacher found it and they ended up getting detention

johnny played the guitar and sang

it took the gang a lot to convince him to do it

he’s very good at singing and had recently gotten into guitar

everyone loved it and cheered him on

it made me him feel more confident about his talent

ponyboy literally couldn’t think of anything to do hes just wanted to do something

steve wouldn’t let him join in on the magic show him and soda were putting in

so pony read his own poetry

he ended up boring a lot of people

some enjoyed it

teachers applauded him for it

dallas refuses to do this

but it was his way of getting out of detention for a week

so he did a magic trick

it was a disappearing act

he showed up on stage

closed the curtains

move the curtains opened again he was gone

some people found it cool (two-bit and soda)

Ok so quick thing: I was debating on keeping this series and decided that I’ll do it for the 7 of you guys that read it! That’s why this took so long to come out. Sorry about that.

Soda’s POV

I walked to the DX thinking about what I saw. I didn’t meet them today so Steve would probably come in to work later and ask what was wrong. I wasn’t looking forward to that.

When did that happen? Why couldn’t I have just done it sooner?

I was under the hood a ‘57 Chevy, and supposed to be working on it but I couldn’t. I just couldn’t focus on anything but Y/N.

Your POV

School was a bust and Soda didn’t come see us today which was unlike him. I was really worried about him. He wasn’t acting like himself and he never finished telling me what he was going to last night.

School was out and I met Steve at the main doors.

“Ready?” I asked. He nodded. “Carry me!” I shouted and jumped on his back. I clutched onto his shoulders.

“Nope. Off.” He said, trying to put me down.

“Please?” I kissed the side of his head.

“Fine.” I readjusted on his back and he started walking towards the DX.

We entered the store and Soda looked up at us. He seemed a little more upset than usual. Steve put me down. “Hey Sodapop!” I said, happier than I usually would to try and get him to lighten up.

“Hey guys.” He said gloomily.

“What’s wrong buddy? You seemin awful upset over there.” Steve asked while getting a coke from the cooler.

“I’m fine. Just bored is all.” We all knew he was lying but played along. Soda was never a good liar and he sure as hell wasn’t ‘happy go lucky’ today.

“Hey, why didn’t you come see us today befor school?” I asked.

“Woke up late.” He responded. The usual Sodapop would’ve dragged on and on and on and on about what happened. I was now really worried.

I touched his back to try and comfort him a little bit but he flinched at my touch for the first time. I backed my hand off. “You know Soda, you don’t look so good. Maybe you can take the day off and get some sleep or something?” I asked, even more concerned.

“I told you I’m fine.” His voice grew a little bit. So I took a step back. Normallly if someone raised their voice at me I’d shoot right back, but I couldn’t bring myself to do that with Sodapop. He was broken underneath everything and everyone saw that. So I decided to give him some space.

“Alright well, I’ll get going then, and, uh, leave you two love birds alone.” I said and left. Steve waved goodbye and Soda just stared at the floor.

Instead of doing my homework I wandered aimlessly around town looking for some form of entertainment.

Soda POV

“Seriously Soda, what’s wrong?” Steve asked.

“Well,” I breathed. “I guess the girl I liked didn’t like me back.” It wasn’t like I was lying to him but I kinda was. Steve raised his eyebrows at my remark. He knew damn well that I hadn’t liked anyone since Sandy.

“Wanna tell me who this mystery girl is?” He inquired.

“Nobody you would know.” I let out a small chuckle. Steve and Y/N always knew how to lighten me up at least a little bit.

“I know practically everybody in this damn town so tell me!” He said with enthusiasm. “Come on. Who am I gonna tell your my best friend Sodapop.”

“She’s from a different city.” His eyes went a little wide with surprise. “Told ya you wouldn’t know her.”

Steve raised an eyebrow. “No kiddin. Since when do you have the time to leave town.”

“I don’t.” I responded. “She came about a week ago and we hit it off pretty good but she never called back.” This time it was really a lie and I hope that Steve would believe it.

The hospitals are cold and sterile, the walls painted with white make you nervous as you wait at the front desk. There’s a muriel to someone, that’s framed on the walls, even it seems dull and drab in the limelight of the events you’ve gone through. Ever since Johnny had disappeared with Ponyboy you weren’t sure what to make of it. Johnny? A murder?  The words didn’t even wrap around your mind for a good while. During the time that he and Ponyboy went into hiding you were kept company by some of the gang. Maybe that’s what helped you keep going,

“(Last name), you’re free to come in now.” Perking up from your place you gave the nurse a nervous smile, hastily dusting off your hands that were beginning to perspire from the nerves.

It’d been almost 9 months since he moved in with you and out of his parent’s house. He seemed more confident, more sure of himself… like he could do better than the hand life dealt him. 

“Are you okay?” He asked with a small frown on his lips. You’d been awfully quiet over the past couple days and there was a tiny part of Johnny that was wondering if you were starting to regret living together. 

“Mhmm” You hummed, curling into the greasers side. “Better than ever”  

“You’ve just been awful quiet, that’s all.” He ran his fingers through your hair as he looked down at your expectantly for an answer. “I just worry.” 

“I’m okay” You smiled softly, taking his hand in yours and lacing your fingers together, trying your hardest to reassure him that everything is okay. 

He returns the smile as he goes back to watching the TV in front of him, I Dream of Jeanie played across the screen… your favourite. 

Everything in Johnny’s life was going perfectly. He was safe, in the arms of the woman he loved, he had a roof over his head, a warm bed to sleep in, a hot meal every night… and he was awaiting the moment that all of that was plucked away from him - and that’s why he started to unfold right before your eyes. 

He tapped his knee obnoxiously against the wooden floor as fingers drummed on his thigh, his breath was slightly hitched as his teeth gnawed on the side of his lip. 

“Johnny” You say softly, prying your attention away from the TV so you can look him in the eye. “Baby, are you okay? What’s going on?” 

You take his hand in yours, hoping to offer him the tiniest bit of comfort. 

“Nothing” He doesn’t want to bother you with his resurfaced insecurities. 

“Honey, talk to me.”

“Do you want to leave me?” He questioned, his eyes refusing to look into yours. 

You don’t know what to say. You’re not quite sure where an idea like that had come from. 

“I just-” He pauses for a second… “I know I can be a bit to much at times… I can be needy and-” 

“Johnny” You try to cut him off

“Anxious… and I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to leave me… honestly I wouldn’t-” 

“Johnny!” 

“So if you want to leave me you can, I won’t hate you for it or-” 

“Marry me.” You said simply - successfully getting him to stop talking. 

“What?” He asks. 

“I said, ‘marry me.’“ 

You smiled at him nervously… full of hope. When you closed your eyes and dreamed of your life in 10 years time it was always with him by your side… you were sure that you had found your soul mate and you didn’t want to spend a second more without him. 

Johnny pulls you into his chest, his lips pressed against yours… and you swear that he’s crying as he plants kisses across your face as he mumbles ‘yes’ over and over again.

i’m used to getting bullied by now in all honesty. i don’t see the point on trying to stop them from doing it, they wouldn’t listen. if anything i’d be an easier target.

“looks like we gotta walking sack down the hallways girls!” a girl called out to her group of friends that were clearly looking for trouble. of course their socs.

“don’t start walking away from me you little shit” the girl barked. she sped up to me with her pose right behind her, pulling me back towards her making my loose my balance. i feel against the lockers, hitting my head hard on the edge of it. all of them were laughing, they surrounded me so i wasn’t able to get out.

“jesus, for a greaser you ain’t that tough are ya?” the leader of the group stated more then questioned in a snarky voice.

“she sure as hell looks like a greaser. she’s got the nasty ass hair to prove it!” one of the girls laughed getting to my level and pulling my hair.

“ow! what the fuck is wrong with you stuck up socs!” i yelled finally standing up face to face with the girl who pulled my hair. the leader moved her to the side with the rest and looked at them which i guess was her way of telling them to back off. and they did. they left the school probably waiting for her.

“listen here you hood, i know you type of greaser girls. walk around town like they own the place just because they have a whole group of boys to fuck with. literally. y’all greasers make me sick!” i didn’t know what to say. i don’t know this girl personally, she’s always giving greaser girls a hard time but still. i was frozen.

“don’t think i don’t see you around with them greaser boys every waking minute of the day. we all know dallas is a player so i know damn well your sucking him-“ she growled getting to close for comfort.

“i’m gonna make this clear before i go to overboard,” the girl said putting on a fake smile. “you make me sick. all of you greasers make me sick. the way you act like you own everything just because you get into some guys pants everyday doesn’t make you worth shit. got that?” each word she said, she pokes my chest hard probably bruising it. i stood in place watching her leave with a satisfied smile on her pretty face.

i walked off to the lost just to calm myself down.

“i’m not a slut. there my friends. why do us greaser girls have such a bed rep. just because some greaser girls choose to sleep around doesn’t mean we all do. and it’s not that soc girls are angels either, some are just as bad, if even worse!” i was deep into thought having a full on conversation with myself. i was so deep into thought i didn’t hear the footsteps coming towards me.

“you ok, y/n?” i jumped from the sudden voice that was next to me. it was johnny.

“i’ve had better days” i teases trying to lighten the mood, but johnny wasn’t having it.

“why you crying darlin’?” johnny asked putting his thumb on my cheek to wipe the tears. hell i didn’t even know i was crying.

“i just-“ before i could tell him all my emotions came out as once. i couldn’t help but start crying harder. johnny scooted closer to me, picking me up to put me on his lap. i cried, nuzzled into his chest soaking his jean jacket. he didn’t care. if anything he held me tighter to his chest, rubbing my back to calm me down.

“tell me when your ready darlin’, but right now i just want you to calm down” johnny cooed. i nodded still pressed against his chest not wanting to move anytime soon.

johnny comforted me the whole day just to make sure i was ok.

Today in Kenosha, police were called to a domestic incident where a fight had broken out between two women. Jacob Blake was trying to break up the fight and when he walked away, police shot him 7 times in the back when he was getting into his car where his kids were. This is why we say Black Lives Matter. Jacob Blake’s life MATTERED. His 3 (three) kids will now grow up without a father because some officer (pig) got fucking trigger happy.

I was alone in my house. I had just finished doing the dishes and sat on the couch, curled up in a blanket. I was about to drift off to sleep when I heard a knock at the door. I groaned, standing up and walking over to the door. On the other side was my boyfriend of 5 months, Soda. I've known him since we were kids but we finally told each other about our feelings recently. "Hey, Soda. I thought you had to work overtime." He shook his head, "Change of plans. I missed you." I opened the door more and he walked in. "Well I missed you, too," I said, closing the door. He had his head down, turned away from me. I walked closer and put a hand on his shoulder. He turned around started saying, "So today-" but he cut himself off. "What," I asked. He pointed down and said, "What's that?" I looked at what he was pointing at and slightly gasped. I completely forgot I was wearing shorts. I've never worn short around him because I was scared of how he'd react to my cuts and scars. "Soda, it's nothing. It's fine," I said quietly. He choked out, "No, that's not nothing. You hurt yourself. Why? You are so beautiful and funny and kind and smart. You are perfect how you are." Tears swelled in my eyes as I said, "It just numbs my pain. It's too scary to talk about my feelings." I broke down. "Oh, baby," he said, pulling me into a hug. I cried into his shirt, "What if my feelings don't matter enough?" He put a hand on the back of my head. "Don't ever be scared to talk about your feelings. They are very important. It's not good to keep them to yourself. Please—" he pulled away and looked me in the eyes "—please tell me whenever something is wrong." I nodded and put my head back on his chest. He picked me up bridal style and carried me to my bed. We laid down under the covers and he whispered, "I love you so much and I want you to love yourself just as much." I sniffled, "I love you, too." He ran his fingers through my hair and I fell asleep, listening to his heart beat.

It had become a routine at this point. A voice in your head would constantly tell you that you weren’t good enough and it always made you break down. This had been your second breakdown this week. You sat on your bed and place your head on your bended knees quietly bawling your eyes.

A knock on your door startled you, “There’s a friend here to see you.” Your mom called out. You quickly wiped your tears. “Come in.” You say with a hoarse throat.

Dylan came in he looked angry. “You would not believe…” He began before he turned to you. Your eyes were red and swollen. “Were you crying Y/n?” He asked. “No.” You lied. Dylan sat next to you on your bed.

“Why were you crying? Is everything ok?” He asked you he knew you were lying. “I’m fine.” You say. “You know you can talk to me right?” He put his hand on top of yours.

“No” You mumbled. “Well then what is it?” He asked.

“Its just I wish I was smarter” You began. “But you are smart.” Dylan said. “But smart like Andrea, or talented as Brenda, or pretty like Kelly and even sweet as Donna.” You said.

“But you are all those things and more.” Dylan assured you.

“Really because I never feel like it.” You sighed, a tear rolling down your eye. Dylan caress his thumb over your face and wiped the tear off your cheek.

“Y/N you can’t just compare yourself to others without knowing who you truly are first.” Dylan said.

“And you are beautiful, smart, talented, a great daughter, and friend.” Dylan said. “Thanks Dylan” You smiled.

“Y/N if you ever need someone to talk to I’m here.” Dylan said. You nodded. Then Dylan got up. “Well I’ll leave because its getting late.”

“What about what you were going to tell me?” You asked.

“It wasn’t that important anyway.” Dylan smiled.

New Beginnings》Sodapop Curtis

Warning: this is sad to begin with

After passing away in Vietnam, Soda’s body is unrecognizable. His wife must travel to D.C. with a few passenget and fight to retrieve his body. That’s when she meets Capt. Stephen Cade. The new beginning.

There’s not a day that goes bye that you don’t miss him. He was your world. He protected you like none other and loved you like none other. His name was Sodapop Patrick Curtis. His name was just as original as him, himself.

Reading Soda’s files, you sat in a small cafe in Washington D.C.. The armed forces were refusing to release his dead body. Just thinking about it hurt you all over again. His body was dismangled and barely recognizable. Soda’s Captain knew it was him, but the Army refused. This happened often and the only way to retrieve his body was for a close relative to bring proof to court. That is how you found yourself on a plane to the nation’s capital.

“Mrs. Lt. Curtis, nice to meet you. I am Captain Stephen Cade. Your husband was a brave and honorable soldier. One of my finest. He often told me, ‘You remind me of my gang back home.’ And he constantly mentioned his smoking wife (y/n ).” A broad man introduced himself to you and went on about your late husband. You put your right hand on the table and began to push yourself up. Capt. Cade’s eyes shot straight to the large baby bump that graced your abdomen.

“He never mentioned anything about a baby.”

“Twins actually. I was leaving to send out the letter announcing my pregnancy when the phone rang. He never will know.” Cade helped you into the chair as you began to cry. His heart wrenched to see one of his best soldier’s wife being ripped apart. “These two are what I have to live for now. I HAVE to get his body.”

The captain gave her a knowing look and handed her his handkercheif. “Well then that is exactly what we will do. Please let me escort you to the courthouse.”

Silently, you rode to the courthouse and felt a good feeling. After 8 months of nothing but sorrows and morning sickness, today felt like a new beginning something good was about to happen.

Court dragged on. They wanted every bit of evidence possible. Four men from his squadron were brought in. And the 2 captains. One of which was Cade. They all said without a doubt that it was Lieutenant Sodapop Curtis.

Finally, it was time for the decision. The jury of officers, colonels, and enlisted men were in the judge’s chamber to come to a verdict. That when you started to feel sharp pains.

“Oh, babies not right now. You have another month. The world is a scary place and you aren’t ready.” You whispered caressing where they had been kicking.

“Order, Order, the jury has made a descision.”

“The jury has decided that this corpse belongs to 2nd Lt. Curtis.”

“Curtis’s body will be placed in a military coffin and escorted to Oklahoma by U.S. Marshals and given proper military burial. Court is adjorned!” The judge changed his gavel one more time.

You jumped up with joy and immediately were struck back down in pain. And that’s when it happened, amniotic fluid and water spung all over yourself and the chair. Capt. Cade rushed to your side and knew immediately what was wrong. He rushed you to the nearest hospital. You knew to remain calm as twins often come early. The only thing on your mind was your husband was headed safely home.

Once you reached the hospital it went smoothly from there. As you were already dilated 8cm, the babies were coming soon. Cade turned to leave.

“Please stay, I know this may be weird. But all my family is back in Tulsa, and Soda would want someone here. You were like family to him and you are family to me.” You sat up wincing.

“Of course, I could never let one of my men down.” He inhale deeply and walked back to the bed and sat beside you.

Four hours later, You gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and handsome baby boy. They were perfect and healthy. A miracle considering all they had been through while in the womb. You smiled at your daughter and looked up to see Stephen rubbing your sons cheeks. What a wonderful man for staying with you.

“So, thought of any names?” Stephen asked.

“This is Poppy Dallas Curtis, named after her father SodaPOP, and her brother Stephen Jonathan Curtis.” He handed you your little boy and smiled.

“Perfect names for perfect beauties. It’s almost like it was meant to happen today. An ending to a stressful part of life and a beginning of a new life. Soda will always be proud and I can tell he loves you and your babies very much.” Captain Stephen sat in the chair and smiled at the new beginning he had just became a part of.

Shenanigans》Johnny Cade

This is short but I like the idea of not such a sad puppy Johnny so I had to write

“You know you are the definition of an asshole, right Johnny Cade? You think you’re so cool cause you hang with Ol’ Dally, but I don’t see it. So why don’t you just leave me alone.” You raged at the dark haired grease. He had slipped you a note in Science class and got you both a detention then got you so mad in detention you both were given Saturday school.

“Hey (y/n), This is all Johnny no Dally. And I know you’ll come around.”

“Doubt it!” And with that you stormed away towards your way home. You weren’t a greaser but you weren’t a soc either. You’d rather be around socs though.

Your walk home was mostly peaceful except for a few rowdy boys bumping past you or a wolf whistle. Really nothing out of the ordinary. You arrived home shortly checked the mail and ran up the steps.

Upon entering your house, you heard footsteps. You grabbed a baseball bat hidden in the umbrella basket and headed in. It wasn’t anything new greasers and other kids often snuck into your house. It was a nicer one on the outskirts of town.

“Oh heya darling, I thought I’d come by I was already missing you.” Johnny Cade smuggly chuckled sitting on a bar stool.

“Johnny Fucking Cade, get out of my house!” You yelled stomping your feet. “I’ve had enough of you today seriously get out!”

“Not until I get a kiss.”

“Ugh! Fine get your cute smug ass over here now!”

“You called me cute.” He taunted mozying over.

“I hate you with a passion.”

“No, you love me baby.”

“I wish I didn’t.” You sighed defeated before kissing his soft lips. Finally giving into his shenanigans.
