Can’t wait to one day make it out of dated apartment life.

I grew up in big cities for most of my life, so I’m not really a fan of small towns. But there’s something about this little town where my husband grew up that’s a little magical.
Hammerfest, Norway (by Philip Arthur LRPS)
“Find me grateful, find me thankful, find me on my knees.”
I’m consistently in a cycle of learning how to live in the present. As a dreamer, it’s hard for me to focus my attention on the things that are around me. My mind would rather be on the future- whether it’s trying to figure it out, worrying about it, or just wishing I were somewhere else.
God is teaching me to be here... now. If I’m not, I’ll miss important things that He has for me. I’ll miss people who I need to cross paths with. I’ll miss moments that can only be lived out right now.
This is a beautiful album- listen to it in it’s entirety if you’ve got time. “Find Me” stuck out to me in particular because it’s a centering song of sorts. It reminds me that I can’t find peace when I’m trying to stumble through storms on my own two feet- I can only truly find it on my knees in God’s presence. It reminds me that it’s both possible and okay to dream and be present at the same time.
I want to be thankful for what the Lord has given me, and I don’t want to take it for granted. Every single breath He gives me should be a treasured gift. My desire is that my eyes will be open each day to see His goodness in both the beauty and the chaos, to find His presence in the magnificent and the mundane alike.
