бурхан, the immense magical presence this sorceress exudes — that heavy, dark and sinister aura about her — makes Oyuna quail and dip her head in an attempt to regain some semblance of composure, immediately regretting her response. 

This complete stranger…this witch has the gall…the nerve to ask her such a horrifying…the nerve, how dare she call her a child…

The familiar’s nerves are frazzling right here on the spot. 

"…m…."

"Ohohoho... For a moment there I genuinely thought you would throw your own benefactor to the wolves. The 's' had me there, little one." 

What delicious fiər! The best flavor of it, truly, is the kind that's laced with desperation and confusion; the Great Witch is all too willing to feast upon it, and perhaps continue to draw more of it out of the obviously shaken goat. Unlike the Sea Witch's familiars, however, this one looks to have far more secrets underneath her sleeves -- veneers upon veneers of forced resiliences overlapped like plates of armor...a lifetime of pretending to be what she never was, perhaps ~? 

What a difficult life she must lead and waste in the effort to prove and seek approval; what a simple job it is to skim through all she contains in the little body of this one. The Elder all but lets out a sigh on this one's behalf.  

"I could have eaten you on the spot for daring to answer me this way. But I shall allow you a second chance. You were saying?"

What is amazing, please do tell the tiny Sea Witch. The expression you’re making is quite menacing even though you’re not really angry.

She just thinks that the youngest Witch to be under her watchful eye is very intriguing, and rather full of potential, even. Does traveling not broaden horizons? And Wadanohara has been doing so much of that, heeding Chlomaki's advice. 

That's good. Very good.

But the Great Witch doesn't find the need to voice any of these thoughts to her. Eventually she'll understand. Leaving a sheltered environment with courage shows that she does to some small extent already, anyway.

While Fukami did agree that Wadanohara was a kind-hearted girl, but, call it a sixth sense, he guessed the Great Witch wasn’t entirely praising his Master when she said that. Nor did she sound entirely upset about the events that almost led to the end of their sea.

She looked him over, and in no real hurry. He would be disconcerted, but he was too suspicious of her, there had to be something she wanted from him, and he didn’t trust her. He didn’t trust Chlomaki entirely either, even if Lobco was her familiar. When she started talking again, his eyes narrowed. What did she-….? Fukami felt something in him snap, and he inhaled sharply, angry. He took a moment, trying to calm down, knowing this was what The Great Witch wanted, the way she had said it. "The Red Sea is gone…. There is no more breaking point." He half said it to shut her down, and half to convince himself that he was no longer a danger to anyone he cared about….

To be kind-hearted, in a world so full and delighting in injustice, operating on systems half-supported by lies and reasonless malevolence, was a luxury that only the sheltered and young-minded could afford. Perhaps there was some measure of strength in Fukami's Master, to keep her nature even throughout such pains and miseries. Perhaps it was sheer ignorance that allowed her to continue wearing those rose-tinted glasses. The Great Witch would have to pay another visit to the younger to find out after this conversation with this familiar of hers, no doubt.

"Gone, you say?"  

She tilted her head to the side as though seriously considering his words, letting the wide brim of her hat shadow the entire upper portion of her face in the process. 

"That was the common belief the first time the Red Sea manifested, child. Who's to say that there won't be a third, a fourth -- who knows when your Witch will finally be vanquished, and then, at whose hands?"

To intimidate the octopus further the Witch leaned towards him, a knowing smile etched upon her pallid face. He really should be thankful, for all these warnings she'd given, and the reminders -- a breaking point not reached did not mean that all was well; this she knew that he was aware. 

"Rest assured, till then no one else will know about the malice you bear in your heart, but yourself.

And I. We will both be waiting for you to buckle, little one."

And the waters churn as a streak of red mist approaches the Great Witch. Out of it emerges the orca, the same one as before, only in full frenzy this time. Judging by the devastation he’s left in his wake, it can quite easily be assumed that he’s been indulging his…appetites thoroughly even before reaching her. He looks horrifying: clothes dishevelled, hair unkempt, covered in blood, gore and…other fluids. She might be amused to learn what they are. She might be further amused to learn they’re not exclusively his own. He’s got a cigarette, too, though it doesn’t seem to be doing its usual job of curbing his nature. No, this one serves an altogether different purpose, of heightening existing pleasure…

"You did this."

A statement, not a question. Idate knows his physiology better than anyone and thus realises when it’s acting up. The artificial high he’s been hit with does not come from within. Not that it’s going to stop him from enjoying it, of course. "I guess you’ll have to deal with me now. How you do that is up to you, but…I’m not so easily satisfied." As he says it he casually gestures behind him, where traces of the bloody swath he’s cut still linger.

First the little Sea Witch, and now the prized creature wandering in that Sea of hers. Really, this is shaping up to be a most interesting day indeed -- and all because one of her familiars had overturned her cauldrons while attempting to flee with secrets of her birth and true origin. Interesting, that she did regret devouring him so soon afterwards in a fit of rage; she could have given him to the orca, made him fight for his life and added more red to the water. It would have been a fitting punishment. Entertaining too, a nice way to set an example for all of her other familiars. 

Though the orca has caught her in quite a foul mood, now that she's recalling this incident, having simmered with anger throughout her entire exchange with the younger Witch. As he approaches her bored expression holds firm for the moment, and she studies him in all his unkempt glory, breathes in the metallic sweet scent of fiər lingering in the spilled blood of his unfortunate victims. 

"The spell was mine, yes. Though not originally intended for Wadanohara's domain... --" 

A smile breaks across her face just then as she steps right up in his face, seizing him squarely by his jaw and dragging his face forcefully downwards to her eye level in one swift motion. 

" -- I do not have any obligation to deal with you, however. You could turn her entire kingdom upside down and dye all of it as red as it was once before, and perhaps then you will be satisfied. To be so bold as to come to me, however, expecting me to grant you respite..."

"I could drain you dry, since you have left it up to me. Or mix your own blood into the mess you've dragged along with you, hm?"

"Cure…?" 

Wadanohara coughs a little, and her knuckles turn white now as she clutches at her dress, tugs at the fabric swathed around her neck. Her braids are now dragging on the floor when she lowers her head and struggles to keep her breaths shallow. 

"….what should I do then…?" 

Oh, for sure she is affected; the unnatural fever has made her face flushed rather pink, and there is a strange light in her usually dimmed grey eyes when she lifts her head again to gaze upon the elder. 

"….and my familiar….is there something I can do to cure him as well…?"

The Great Witch lets her continue to fidget in discomfort for a few moments, purely out of sadistic amusement and already knowing what she should be struggling with. There's really no need to provide the younger sorceress with any satisfactory response. 

In fact, she could simply laugh and walk off, let the child keep fighting off her own urges and then witness her finally fall apart, or successfully repress even this(which, would be quite an extraordinary feat). But she doesn't. She's feeling rather benevolent today. 

"All these," she deigns to reply, gesturing in one sweeping motion over the Sea Witch's form. "should be able to inform you how best to cure yourself. As long as you listen to what your body wants. It shouldn't be too difficult, even for you, Wadanohara. Of course, you can choose to ignore these afflictions, but I assure you it is a foolish decision. 

It is the same for your familiar -- whichever one you're referring to. The magic affects every one of you in the same ways."
