Ano Poli - the upper town is definetely the most charming district of Thessaloniki. Not only because of its old Turkish houses and amazing view of the port, but also because of its surprising colourful corners. It’s all for discovering!
Missolonghi - a city - symbol of Greek war of independence. Here the famous massacre took place, here Lord Byron died. The town lies on a lagoon and it’s very special. There is a park with the monuments of Philhellenes. Try to find your own country’s representatives as I did :)
Greece is associated almost only with sea and beaches. You would be suprised to discover how beautiful nature it has beside crystal waters of Mediterranean Sea. This is Balkan part of Greece - Macedonia district.

I love Greece for thousands of reasons. Its culture, history, mentality of Greeks, amazing mix of East and West, its literature, music, tradition. Since it’s summertime and I’m dying from the heat in the city it is good also to mention Greek beaches! First post to bring back to memory this incredible beach in Chalkidiki Peninsula. Can anyone recognize it? One of the best I’ve ever been, Wish to have opportunity to go there once more! Have a nice weekend and enjoy if you are somewhere there around.
