A robot lady with a big sword?

I'm sold.

So when I visited Japan a few years ago, I went with a tour group. None of us really knew each other, but naturally, we started talking about what anime and games we liked.

I mentioned to one of those guys that I liked Monster Musume, he said something to the effect of: "Oh, you like monstergirls too!? You got a favorite?"

I said "Mermaids", and of course asked what he liked back. He then pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of a centipede girl, like moe from the waist up, full-ass segmented arthropod from the waist down. The look on his face was so excited, as if to say "pretty sweet, right?"

I just politely shook my head and said it wasn't my thing. He didn't seem upset, though, so maybe he was used to that reaction.

I think about that exchange a lot. Rock on, Centipede-Guy.
