Sorry for sending three asks, I wanted to write it correctly: I read somewhere that Black-coded characters are not enough because they don't have the skin tone of a Black person. I have all non-human characters, and none of them have human skintones. Should I just make characters that look like Black people anyway, or is there a way to successfully Black-code a non-human character?

If you're referring to the post that jayart made, that wasn't necessarily the point 😅 Black coded characters aren't the problem. Yes you can successfully code. I have a lesson on it. It's the fact that people don't want to see the actual Black people that these characters are coded off of. If you only are willing to interact with us when you don't actually have to SEE us, then the problem that is your racist bias still exists. If the only Black characters you like are ones that never look like the people you see outside, check within!

IDK I think if cis men are being told that being fat will lower their testosterone and make them Insufficiently Masculine, and cis women are being told that being fat will raise their testosterone and make them Excessively Masculine, and fat trans people are being denied the right to medically transition if they're fat, and thin trans people are warned against HRT because it will make them fat (and this is said about both testosterone and estrogen HRT), and androgynous-presenting people are told that only thin people count as androgynous...
