Beauty Sleep Sachet Glamour Spell

This is an easy sachet glamour spell I use. It allows oneself to see their own beauty and see past their flaws. It is excellent for confidence boosting as well as self-love purposes.

You will need:

A sachet or some clothe to make a pouch or bag of some sort

Dried Rose Petals or any other dried flower petals you associate with beauty

A small piece of rose quartz

(optional) your favorite perfume

1. First make or get your bag or sachet ready. Place your rose or flower petals inside. 

2. Take your rose quartz in hand and cup your hands around it and whisper to it your wishes, in this case how you wish to see your true beauty. I usually seal in these wishes with a gentle kiss to the stone before placing it into the bag as well. Close it.

3. Optional: Take your favorite perfume and spritz the bag once.

4. Once all this is done take the bag in your hands and do a little chant of your choosing stating your wishes. An example would be: “By mornings light, I wish to see my true beauty shine bright.” But you may do whatever you feel is fitting.

5. Finally place it underneath your pillow or near your bed so that every time you sleep it can do its magic. 

Aftercare Suggestions: I suggest you change its flower petals monthly and recharge the rose quartz inside it every two weeks to keep the spell potent.

Sleeping Spell to Receive Guidance from those who have Departed - Spoonie Edition

Hello lovelies!

Losing a family member can be very hard and it can take a lot out of someone both physically and mentally. Over the past few months I have been trying to figure out how to contact those loved ones who meant so much to me and my family but I find that my body and my mind struggles to produce the energy for such spellcraft. I am by no means a master spellcrafter but I hope this spell can help those of you who may also be feeling lost or confused about life or wish to find closer and get answers to unsolved questions. 

What you need:

1 white candle (taper candle/fake candle are my preferences)

Protection Prayer

Divination Prayer

Name of the person you wish to contact

Window (optional)

Photo or Trinket of departed (optional)

Music, crystals, offerings (optional)

Preparation:

Since this is a sleep spell I urge you to use your safe judgement, I have a safe place I can leave the candle burning all night without worry but also I have found that fake candles work just as well! I also do my whole night routine before this spell, including all my night meds. 

What to do:

X - I light my candle or turn on my fake candle, and move on to sound: because of my night terrors sleep in silence and while usually I’ll watch cooking videos at night I do this spell I try to put on visual documentaries - Moving Art on Netflix is a lovely background noise but sometimes I’ll also put on dramas like The Borgias. 

X - Say the protection prayer and make sure to include the family members name in the prayer and call on the gods to guide and help the person to you. 

*Note: Use as much of a name as you can, for example: “I ask for ____, father/mother of ____, grandfather/grandmother of _____, husband/wife of _____ to visit me tonight.” This helps make sure that your invitation is direct as possible as not to allow negative spirits into your home and dreams.

X - Lay down in your bed and close your eyes, begin to talk to your family member and explain the situation that needs clarity, thank them for making the journey and for any advice they decide to give.  Also talk to the gods, and thank them for protecting you and your family member and for guiding them here safely. Since this is a spell about family I reach out to the gods I am devoted to because they are -in a sense of the word- part of my family, however if you would prefer to reachout to gods of travel/protection or gods of divination specifically that is 100% allowed and encouraged!

(This can get emotional, especially for a recent passing, the first time I reached out to my Abuelo I cried for 20 minutes, but it felt good and I knew was just talking to him and he was comforting me even - if I couldn’t hear his voice.)

X - After you explain everything to your family member and the gods, open your eyes again and take a moment to yourself. Make sure you are 100% relaxed and ready for the night and then say the divination spell. Then, if you so choose blow out the candle and head to bed. As you fall asleep try once again to say thank you to the gods and those who have passed for their guidance. 

The Next Day

X - I have found that those how have passed deliver messages in riddles and poems, I recommend writing down what you can remember and figuring out what parts of the dreams can represent aspects of your life.

Important: 

Maybe you didn’t receive any dreams that night, don’t stress out. Take time to reflect on who you are reaching out to and what you know about them and who they were like in person and what your relationship was like with them and/or with that side of the family. Maybe there is a broken link with that side of the family, I personally had to repair a relationship with my Abuela before I heard from my Abuelo. However if it is a toxic relationship DO NOT ENGAGE, DO NOT GO BACK TO ABUSE JUST FOR ANSWERS.

🌻 Spell to make seedlings grow. 🌻

🌿 Have the seedlings germinated. You can have done the water germination method, or soil germination, or eggshell germination. For the spell to start, have the germinated seeds in soil. (Tip: Best soil: seedling/started soil, herb and vegetable soil, or any loose, light soil of your choice.)

🌱 Have the starter pot/pots/dish/etc in front of you. Place a white, green, or yellow candle or tealight at the far left and right corners and light them, first lighting the one on the left, then using it to light the one on the right.

🌿 Whilst looking at the candles and the fire, talk to your seedings: Tell them about your good intentions for them. Encourage them to grow. Tell them they will do well. Essentially, begin the long and close relationship you want to have with them. Do this at least until you can see some melted wax.

🌱 In your mortar and pestle, mix together and powdered eggshells, coffee grounds, and if you can, any of the following: oyster shell lime, powdered chopped banana peel, or alfalfa. Sprinkle one third of this mix on top of the soil. Add the rest of it to your watering container. (Tip: Most herbs need soil whose pH level is between 5.5 and 6, meaning that they need moderately acidic soil. This is why coffee grounds are included in the mixture, among things. Tip: You can get free coffee grounds at most Starbucks’ because of their “Grounds for your Gound” promgamme.) 

🌿 Bless the plants by blowing out the candles, left to right, and wafting the smoke over the soil and seedlings.

🌱 Finally, place the seedlings where they can get sunlight, on top of something green. This can even be a green piece of paper.

✨Doorway Cleansing✨

This is one of my favorite hearth rituals to preform at the start of each week. It’s quick and to the point. Repeat the spell at whatever frequency is needed or good for you.🧡

Ingredients

✨Two cups of moon water

✨One and a half tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

✨Two tablespoons of Himalayan salt

✨Couple drops of lavender oil

✨Small handful of cloves(4-6)

Combine the above ingredients in a bowl and leave to steep for two hours! Keep it in the sun to charge it or add crystals to the area around it to charge it as desired. Once it’s done steeping soak a fresh wash cloth in it and wash the entry way to your home. The doorstep, the threshold, the hinges, everything you can think of. Be thorough with your cleansing and cleaning.🌿 Focus your intent of cleaning your doorway from negativity and inviting in good energy.☀️

Water Scrying

Water scrying is the art and practice of gazing into water to see the future or receive a vision. Water scrying is a great way for clairvoyants to develop their skills, but can also be done by anyone. -Mod J

To start, you are going to need a bowl or something that holds water. Preferably the bowl or water holding object should be a solid color inside so you don’t get distracted by patterns. Black, white, or a metal bowl are ideal because these are colors that are easy to gaze at for extended periods but any solid color should work.

Fill the bowl with water

Now set up your space. It helps to turn off the lights and have a candle or a few around the bowl giving some light but not close enough that you see the reflection in the water.

Now this is the hardest part, gaze into the water in the bowl and let your eye lose focus. Your vision might get a little blurry but try to fight the urge to look around and refocus your vision. After a while of doing this you might be able to correct the blurriness without losing focus on the water. Around this point when your gaze softens some kind of vision should appear in the water. It’s important to understand that what you see might be a real depiction of what your scrying for/about but it’s more common for you see symbolic images instead. Learning to translate these symbols takes some time and practice so keep working at it. Another thing to note is that you might feel like your mind is just making you see things in the water that isn’t there, and i guess on some level that is correct. The water it’s self isn’t what’s producing the vision, you are receiving because you asked to, and are using the water and bowl as tools to help perceive it.

Here are ways to help enhance your water scrying that i know of:

You can charge your bowl over night with tea made from certain herbs. I like to steep some mugwort and lavender in my bowl to charge it while i sleep and empty it in the morning.

You can a few drops of essential oils to your bowl while scrying, or before to help charge the bowl and water’s energy. The oily surface can also help keep you from getting distracted and gives your eyes something to focus on.

Another way to prevent distraction is to put a small crystal at the bottom of the bowl around the center. It gives you a fixed point to look at, but I’ve noticed for me that is often cut off some of the vision and everything will move around the crystal rather then appearing in the whole bowl.

Using your bowl for offerings. I find this helps charge and enhance my scrying bowl’s energy by putting offering in it when i work with other spirits and deities.

Sometimes it can also help to instead of building up the energy in the bowl do a cleansing and put some salt water in the bowl to soak.

You can also use moon water, sun water, or any magically enhanced water that might be specific to the type of reading you are doing. I find moon water is always good for all water scrying.

If you try water scrying and find it doesn’t work for you that’s alright. It’s not for everyone, and even those who do it regularly have off days where they can’t get anything to come through. So give it a few tries before you decide if it’s something for you. Good luck with your scrying! -Mod J

Spell Jar to Enhance Productive Energy (if you feel low on energy)

Things You’ll Need: - Yellow Candle (productive energy to seal jar) *optional   - Cinnamon or Cayenne pepper (success and energy) - Black Pepper (enhance energy) -Crushed Red Pepper (enhance energy) -Dried Lavender (healing, calm, anti-stress) -Dragon’s Blood Calcite/Red Calcite (enhance energy, grounding) *optional -Bottle

What To Do: Layer the ingredients, filling each with intent and energy. Once you’re done layering, seal the jar with the wax from the yellow candle. The crystal can be used to enhance the intention while your creating the spell jar. Just meditate with it for a few minutes. *These are just some things I associate with gaining/enhancing energy. Change them if you need to. Also I put “or Cayenne pepper” because I had that originally, but didn’t realize I was out of it.

Witch’s guide to Mint

I love mint I use it mostly in tea form and sometimes cook with it. Mint always makes me think of wood Faeries. Which could be due to the wood nymph Minthe in Greek mythology who was turned into mint.

Mint is a masculine element associated with the element air and the planets Mercury and Venus

Magical Properties:

Magical Uses:

- Drink it in tea form to add strength to our words

- Put mint in your shoe and keep it in there to prevent bad luck

- Place fresh mint on your alter to attract good spirits

💫 Circles In Witchcraft 💫

WHAT IS A CIRCLE?: A circle is an energetic construct used in witchcraft. It can enhance the power of a spell and protect you. It can be marked as something that is both physical or energetic, or both! WHEN DO I CAST A CIRCLE?: Circles are cast before you do a spell, ritual, divination, ect. When you do it really depends on the type of witch but the short answer is: it is cast before doing magick. As I said above, to protect you and to enhance the spells power. DO I HAVE TO CAST ONE BEFORE DOING A SPELL?:  Absolutely not! I only ever cast a circle when I am doing a big spell. Usually a spell or ritual during one of the sabbats. it isn’t necessary to do any spell, but since it enhances the power of the spell & protects you it is a good idea to do before any spell that will require a lot of time and work.  HOW TO CAST A CIRCLE: Before: - The space Figure out how much space you will need! The circle needs to encompass you and all the tools you will use in the spell, plus candles/incense.  - Your supplies  Try to make sure you have all your supplies together, I have forgotten stuff a few times and had to exit the circle. It can be done, but it’s just an overall not fun inconvenience.  - Atmosphere  This may be obvious, like remembering your supplies, but remember if any candles are going to be lit or if any incense is going to be burned, get that prepared too. - Cleanse  First cleanse the space! This can be done both physically & energetically. I usually sweep the ground where I’m going to cast a circle. Then I use the smoke from a candle I’ve blown out to cleanse it energetically. I also have a post about cleansing you can find -here-. - Protection & Safety  You’re going to want to ward before you do any magick. But especially big spells where you’ll need to cast a circle, when deities, spirits, invoking, ect may be involved. Here’s a really good post about warding. Methods: Elemental Method:  - Supplies: A feather  A red candle  Moon water Rock quartz  Alright, you’ve cleansed and you’ve warded and you’ve got your supplies all together. Now it’s go time.  Start with the East, turn to it and say “I summon the East, protect & empower this sacred circle”  The East is associated with the element of air. So I offered a feather. You could either lay this down ahead of time, or let it drift from your hand into the space/on your altar during circle casting.  Next turn to the South, and say “I summon the South, protect & empower this sacred circle” then light the candle.  The south is associated with the element fire and the color red. So I lit a red candle.  Then turn to the West, and say “I summon the West, protect & empower this sacred circle”  The West is associated with the element water, so I offered some super moon water from a glass. This would traditionally be done with your chalice.  Finally turn to the North, and say “I summon the North, protect & empower this sacred circle”  The North is associated with the element Earth so I offered up my chunk of rock quartz.  Now imagine the circle, or well sphere of energy forming around you and solidifying. Take this moment to focus and ground yourself. Chant, do anything you’d like to do that focuses you and brings the energy up. Summon any deities or spirits you wish to assist you. Now, cast your spell! Once you are done with the spell, imagine the circle crumbling into the ground. And the energy used releasing itself.  Alternative Offering: You could also offer lit candles to all the elements. Yellow for East, Red for South, Blue for West, & Green for North. Salt: Instead of making offerings to the elements you could go from East, South, West, & North, and sprinkle a thin trail of salt. Or you could sprinkle salt in addition to the elemental method.  If you’re casting this circle outside, use crushed eggshells instead of salt. Salt could damage the plants and grass nearby. Tips, Reminders & Questions: - What if I have to leave the circle?  I usually just imagine pulling a curtain back to exit the circle, then pulling it back again to enter again. But you could visualize anything you want. It is okay in my opinion to leave the circle.  - Make sure no one interrupts  Maybe this won’t apply to you but, I have not been interrupted while doing magick or casting a circle. But the idea of it just really irks me. It feels like it’d break the circle & my energy & intent. If you feel like this would apply to you, prepare to do the circle late at night or on a day when no one is around. If you have family or roommates.  As far the details of the elemental method go, that’s just how I do it. You can make up your own method or search up others for inspiration. Return to Sender Powder

Ingredients:

Chamomile

Cayenne

Sage

Chili powder

Nutmeg

Black pepper

Black salt

Instructions: 

Combine and crush using a mortar and pestle or herb grinder

Use a fine strainer or cheese cloth to sift through the larger pieces that may be present after grinding 

Store in a glass jar 

Personally, I use this mixture to roll my “return to sender” candles in after anointing them with oil but feel free to use as you see fit.

Invisibility Glamour

Whether you’re wanting to escape unnecessary conversations or you have become quite the commodity lately, this glamour will take the edge of all the attention you’re receiving and allow you to fade a little bit into the background for a while. Note: This glamour is not for literal visibility, but to receive decreased attention from others and be noticed less.

You will need:

A small bowl of water

A clear quartz crystal or clear piece of glass. (The clearest, least fractured crystal or piece of glass is ideal. The spell is most effective with an ultra clear crystal ball).

Place your bowl of water containing your crystal or glass in a dark and undisturbed space (like a closet or cabinet) for a full day. After 24 hours, remove your bowl and soak your hands in water. Periodically remove your hands, and massage the water onto your face and body, envisioning a dim light emanating from your skin. 

Your skin now holds a dim light, and your energy is quieted. This glamour will last for about a day. Repeat the spell or leave the water in darkness for a longer period time as necessary.
