Can we all just agree to stop buying the gacha shit on Neopets? I'm fine with paid content. I know running the site isn't free. But it's scummy to put the majority of items in gacha capsules, especially since they don't disclose the odds of getting each item (this is illegal in some places iirc). If the site is really intended to be family friendly, they shouldn't have predatory shit like that.

What are some things that people would spend their money (NC) on directly that are not luck/chance based? Question open to anyone.

Doesn't have to be wearables/customisation related. But I have been wondering this for a while now, cause as much as I want the game to be free only and forever, it has to generate money or it can't keep existing, so if you had to give Neopets money to keep running what is something you would want in return that would feel genuinely worth it?

And also like what is the most you would be willing to pay for that thing, i guess?

So my input is this as its more so how the gacha is set up:

A rotation of NC items we can just purchase, could even be old items. NC trading is awful. I cannot stress enough just how horrible and confusing it is to players not already doing so and so lots of players just dont purchase things

Gacha that actually has percentages and items listed. Gives you the rare items after purchasing a specific quota of capsules.

Do not separate a 1 piece item into 3 pieces that you can only maybe get by purchasing 3 of the same capsule. This one really ticked ppl off because the individual items cannot actually be used separately in customization

For physical merch (which Im more interested in)

Put the npcs on merch. Why on earth are Tor and Roberta not on a tshirt, ppl are really nostalgic for the tdf game. Why is Jhudora not on a sticker

Printed versions of the old plot comics. This one would require more effort but would be amazing. Its already known that most of the userbase are adults and have even said in AMAs they have interest in bringing back nostalgic fans and not in new kid userbase,,,so why are the new published comics for young kids and not plot-related?

The only thing I would say is that I don’t like the gatcha at ALL. If I’m going to be buying something, I want to know what I’m getting. I will actively go out of my way to avoid purchasing gatcha bullshit. I don’t feel like spending money on gambling.

There's actual transphobes still on gendisc getting away with spouting hateful bullshit for hours at a time, while others are getting instant warnings and silences for making "off topic" threads (TNT recently changed the rules for general discussion to only allow discussion related to Neopets because they thought that'd somehow keep people from making transphobic threads??? But now they're just punishing ppl for everything EXCEPT transphobia)
