btw this isn't solely a disability rights issue or an issue about people who are entirely unable to work. you should also be thinking about the people who are regarded as unhireable. transfems are hugely discriminated against in this way, people of color are passed over for less qualified white people, anyone who has any difficulty playing the interview game is less hireable... frankly anyone who made the mistake of pursuing the things they love and now has a degree for a niche field. if you still joke about Jobless People it's because you've fundamentally connected the worth of people to their labor, and specific labor, work that you see as valuable. and while i'm at it stop making fun of people who still live with their parents. asshole.

Do you regret at all getting a degree in art, and have you found success building up your presence online, has it been worth the effort? (career- wise)

i do not have an art degree, art is not my career, nor have i intentionally tried to build up my presence online

Hi. I'm a graphic designer... I'm also an illustrator, but I don't think my drawings should be on my social media profiles... But I love how you draw your insect creatures... What are your design references for this type of character? And if you could create a book featuring only illustrations of your creatures, how would you approach it... would you focus on anything in particular?

hiya.. well i do have a couple of art books/sketch collections featuring just my creatures, so i would make it like this. I don't like objective wikipedia style worldbuilding etc so I would approach it like a mild narrative story, with a subjective & opinionated observer describing the creatures and introducing their own misconceptions and biases. As for the graphic design sorryyyy that's my weakness, I am very bad at that and couldn't comment at all on it

Design references are just insects, like in real life. I see a lot of them (professionally. like it's my job) and I can iterate on their anatomy pretty easily without having to pull up references. I answered an ask here showing how I approach insect mouthparts which u might find interesting as well. The mouth has a lot of fun parts so I think it's a good place to focus especially for a character design like that where the face almost looks human at first.

Average Scarlet Hollow dev update is like: Hey everyone Tony and Abby here to let you all know that we're still working in the next chapter. The script is currently 280,000 words long (likely going to be at least 50,000 more by the next update) and the grand total is 1,500,000 words long. This is because we have to account for all the branching pathways that consider literally every little choice you make so we gotta consider what it's like for a comp-sci major living in an apartment with a cat (which they can talk to because of weird powers) that's just been cursed to be 10 years older to interact with a band of rats (which gives you a line of dialogue only maybe 0.1% of players will ever see). Abby has been hard at work drawing 86 new backgrounds and new 827 sprites (yes including the stuff for the gilf and various monster romance routes) and Brandon has made 15 new tracks of the most haunting music you've ever heard. We've been having lots of fun and hope you're all doing well with the wait!!
