People outside of an abusive relationship can have a hard time understanding why a person being abused will choose to stay with an abuser. Here's one person's perspective on the situation.
The Obama administration has already addressed sexual assault in the military and now it wants to tackle this problem on college campuses, where 1 in 5 students are reportedly assaulted or raped.
What do you think of how NC state addresses sexual violence? What recommendations would you give to the Obama administration?
My friend was drinking last night and was "trying to get laid," which was fine, but when he started to get wasted, we brought him back home and put him to bed. Nothing good would have come of that.

Hey SMCM, This is the last weekend of the semester, and we want to thank all of you for the wonderful Green Dots you've done for each other. You all are fantastic people! Keep sane and safe over winter break, do some Green Dots off campus, and remember to send us a message about any Green Dots you do. Have a good weekend! Keep each other safe!
One Saturday night last year, I decided to stay in my dorm and do some homework while my friends went to an off-campus party about a mile and a half away. The police were called on the party and my friends, and everyone else at the party, had to sit outside in the street trying to figure out how to make their way back to school. My friends called me because they knew I was sober, and a friend and I drove to pick them up. When we got close to the party, we saw that at least twenty-five people did not have rides back to campus and so they were walking back in small groups. When I got to my friends, one was very drunk and crying, so we helped her into the car. I was very glad at this moment that we got there before our friends decided to go home with a stranger, or walk home. We drove as many people home as we could fit legally, and helped them to their rooms when we got back to campus.

My friend and I were at a party and she was very drunk and falling all over the place and this guy saw and came over and started hitting on her. She loved the attention so she reciprocated, but I saw how drunk she was so I told her we should probably leave so we could "meet one of my friends outside". Once we were outside I realized she was sick and thankfully I was able to take her home safely and get her into bed without getting into trouble with that guy.

Over Thanksgiving break I was at a bar and I saw a woman who was being hit on by this wasted person. It didn't seem out of the ordinary at first, but then I saw that she was looking really uncomfortable so I did the whole 'pretend you're an old friend' thing and said "Heyy! It's ____ . Remember me? From high school?" When we walked outside, we were both laughing, but she thanked me for helping her out.
