Kiss (Jasmin), Stress (Stefan) & Cupboard (Sirius)
KISS
Evan found it hard to fall asleep that night. He couldn’t quite figure out why people were asking him about Jasmin; wasn’t she his cousin’s friend? It didn’t make sense, particularly seeing as people seemed to think there was something there. He knew there wasn’t anything, he’d remember if there was. Plus, he barely knew her. Yet his mind kept drifting to her as he slowly slipped away to sleep.
And oh boy were those dreams... entertaining, to say the least.
He’d blame it on the fact she was pretty - because she really was - and how he’d been asked about her a lot lately. But even as he woke, he could still clearly remember those dreams, he could almost still feel her lips on his. Or at least, how he imagined it’d feel. But it was odd, he had a boyfriend, he shouldn’t find himself thinking about this so much. So he tried to shake that thought off his mind.
At least, until he saw her in the Great Hall not too long after, and the memory came back to him. No, this had to be only because she was pretty. There wasn’t anything more to it, was it?
STRESS
Fingers tapped repeatedly against the table in the Great Hall, frown on his face. While he’d originally been excited to find out he had a brother, it wasn’t long until that left. He was still quite excited, but he was scared, and stressed about it. He’d barely told anyone, mostly because he wasn’t sure how they’d react. And he wasn’t sure what that would mean for Wyatt once they knew. Certainly, his uncle would not enjoy this fact, and he couldn’t imagine his aunt being happy about it either. But he knew they were meant to find it out sooner or later, and it scared him. All he wanted to do was to take his brother and keep him safe from the world, but he couldn’t do that.
Instead, he was stuck trying to figure out how to break it to his family without causing them too much harm or trouble. And nothing he thought of seemed to be of much help. And that’s how he ended up sitting there, fingers tapping the wood, his cup of tea still untouched. It took a moment until he finally stood up, leaving the cup behind. He needed to talk to someone, but he couldn’t throw it all on Gideon. Not to mention, he wasn’t sure he could really relate to how complicated the situation was. And then his mind drifted to the one person that could help: Stefan. He knew he could trust him, they had each other’s backs, and even if he couldn’t quite help him with the situation, maybe he’d be able to make him feel a little less stressed.
CUPBOARD
Evan squinted his eyes as he stared at the overly filled cupboard. His head tilted slightly to the side, obvious confusion on his face. He wasn’t sure what Sirius wanted him to do with it: was he expected to reorganize it or just... clean it up. Because if it was the latter, he’d have no problem burning the content of that cupboard. Everything seemed old, and quite frankly, it looked like trash. Well, those weren’t his anyway, so he’d probably better just clean it up a little.
He moved in to grab a first box from the top, only for a photograph to slip off it and towards the ground. A frown pulled on his face as he picked it up, and it wasn’t long until he recognized the faces on it. It was them, it was their family. And surely, he was there, tucked on his mother’s laps. They all were, and for a moment, he let his fingers linger on the picture. Everything was so much easier when they were still kids, but they couldn’t go back now.
So he put the picture aside as he moved out everything that was in the cupboard. While his original thought had been to burn it all, he didn’t want to do that anymore. Instead, he placed everything back in more strategic places. It looked better, slightly. Definitely less dusty, and it felt like there was more space now. But it wasn’t ready yet. Picking back up the picture, he stared at it for another long moment before sticking it on the door. If it was only for him, he’d frame it and place it on the wall. But this wasn’t his house, he wasn’t going to take that decision for him.
