When I was a teenager and still on Neopets I was part of a pretty big Star Trek guild and eventually became part of its council, with the solemn duty of creating weekly polls. Well one day I created the poll "Which would win in a fight? Borg Cube or Death Star?". Naturally, since this was a Star Trek guild, the answer was overwhelmingly "Borg Cube", but someone did have the rationality to point out we were biased.

So I look up a pretty prominent Star Wars guild and message one of their council and ask them to poll the same question and get back to me in a week. They do, and naturally the fuckin geeks said "Death Star".

So then I look up a Stargate guild and messaged the lead council member, saying the same thing, and they get back to me almost immediately saying that the Death Star would immediately one-shot a Borg Cube but they would never be able to do it again to another Cube. And I took that wisdom back to my guild and we were mollified, and for one moment the Nerd World was peaceful.

A mini PHM comic about Grace growing old. I wanted to explore two ideas: Rocky dealing with Grace’s dementia and Grace wanting to donate his body to science. I spend so much time on figuring out the dialogue (some part still feel clunky to me) but I hope it express my thoughts on where I think Grace’s life would go :)

the thing about star trek is that the first series you watch will end up shaping your entire view of the franchise. 

like srsly the only reason why I’ve never been able to get that into the original series (and ds9, voyager & enterprise for that matter) is that I grew up watching tng and by now im so attached to it that like….the tng starfleet is the only starfleet for me.

Hey that’s just like my dad! He grew up on TNG too. I guess TOS is technically my first since I’ve been going fairly chronologically, but I was also mostly an adult by the time I watched any Star Trek so I can’t really speak to how much any specific series has shaped me.

One of the reasons Deep Space 9 is very good is because I’ll spend an entire episode laughing my ass off and then a couple episodes later something so devastating happens that I need to go lay down for a while so I can process it
