Ascendas Green Month celebration concludes with a Green Concert at Park Square Mall, International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB)
Ascendas, Asia’s premier business space provider, organized a musical concert at Ascendas Park Square Mall to conclude its annual Green Month celebrations at International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB).
‘Thalavattam’ – India's first band that uses recycled plastic, to create new sound in percussion and promote the idea of ‘Reuse, Reduce and Recycle’ enthralled the audience at Park Square Mall. Adding to the glamour quotient, Chlorophile, an eco-friendly lifestyle and fashion brand had organised a fashion show showcasing their green and fair trade products.
The month long event was creatively branded by Bangalore based #thinktank Netmonks who created all associated collateral and digital media assets.
Earlier this month, employees working at ITPB had participated in the ‘Recycled Art Contest’ where they took up a challenge of transforming old and unused household and office products into creative art pieces. The event also saw the prize distribution for ‘Recycled Art Contest’, where the four best re-cycled expressions and ideas were chosen and winners were presented sports bicycle, solar back pack and smart phones.
On June 2, 2014 ITPB parkites had participated in ‘Tree plantation drive’ kick-starting the celebrations across the Park. The occasion was graced by Mr. BNS Reddy, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police as Chief Guest by planting a tree within the park. The drive was also accompanied by City Head, Mr. Shekar B and Ascendas staff from Bangalore operations.
The month long celebrations focused on creating awareness about the environment amongst the 32,000 professionals working in the Park. Various Go-green initiatives for the month long event included green exhibition, re-cycle and re-use drive, vehicle health check camp, car-pooling drive and eco - bazaar.
