my toku shame ships - basco/don: this is bad and illegal - asakura/shinji: I’m not ashamed enough of this - help I’m really bad at shame? - what else do I ship that’s shitty
Ah...
The Doc and the Turtle? (Thanks for following!)
Urataros was a bit surprised as he saw his ‘savoir’ and listened to his explanation. “So I’m on a ship.. Well that sounds like something good to me.” He replied, after all he was the fisherman. A ship sounds like a perfect place for someone like him. He already had an image of him fishing off the edge having no idea how big the real ship was.
"No, no. I don’t suppose you would have. I have the worst luck in the world." Urataros replied though in his head he was saying ‘more my host does’. "Things like that seem to happen a lot to me so I don’t blame you."
He did feel his head a bit and carefully pushed up his glasses. “Just a little pain and I do feel a little dizzy, maybe from getting up so fast.” He mentioned as a lie. He wasn’t sure he wanted to be ‘fully healed’ just yet. He wasn’t sure if he was going to get kicked off as soon as he was recovered or what might happen so he thought he’d play sick for the moment.
"Eh..?" Don’s head tilted slight, wondering just what the young man was going on about. Granted, he wasnt a hostage or anything - most folks would be worried about uprooted and taken somewhere while out cold. Even if their abductor thought they were doing the right thing. Oh! Don was a kidnapper now! He clutched blond curls when he realized that! Maybe thats why Marvelous was laughing! But the stranger spoke again. Don cringed.
"L..luck…?" Don was even more confused, but cleared his throat. "Well..feel free to stay as long as you need, I’ll get something for you to eat —" He wouldn’t mention that he’d probably have to fight Marvelous for it. "If you need anything, just ask…" He gave a soft smile. "They call me Hakase here…and you are..?"
Urataros did have to chuckle at Don’s random reaction. He wondered what he suddenly realized that made him panic like he did but when questioned ‘luck’ he nodded. That was exactly what he meant.
"Thank you. That’d be nice." He thought a bit by tapping his chin. "A coffee would be nice if you have any." He asked but when asked his name he wondered. Should he use his own or Ryotaro’s? What would be best. Eh Ryotaro was still out of it so he might as well just use his. No one knew the difference here probably anyway.
"You may call me Urataros." The turtle replied as he looked around before realizing. " … This seems like a .. pirate ship.” He said not like he’s scared by the realization just curious. “Unless that is just the style you went for..”
"Coffee it is…" Don nodded, going to start a kettle. Finding an interest in watching the water boil, the pirate wondered if all kidnappers were supposed to feed their hostages. Ah! But he wasn’t one - and the boy wasn’t one either. He smacked his forehead. Repeatedly.
"Urataros-san…" He trailed off as Urataros spoke again. Taking in the decor. "That — that’s because it is a…pirate..ship.."
Urataros had to chuckle again at Don’s reaction to his own thoughts. That boy really had something on his mind troubling him and it was kind of funny to watch him react to it. Whatever it was.
Upon hearing the news of what this ship really was he had to smirk a bit. “So then that makes you a pirate.” He mused. “A helpful pirate who takes care of those he accidentally hurts. If they keep you as a part of their crew with you being like this the whole crew must not be very bad people.” He replied relaxing. It seems just figuring this all out by pieces he strung together made him comfortable staying for the time.
"You could say I’m a kind of .. fisherman .. so I do enjoy being on ships." He told him as he sat back. What should he do while he was here? Just relax and enjoy being taken care of? Well it’s not like on the DenLiner things were much different. Naomi did take good care of them on it. Maybe he’d just at least be nice and stick around to calm the poor boy who seemed so panicked by something.
"Yeah...I'm a Pirate..." He replied, his voice meek. It was as if he could feel the other fellow laughing. Or maybe he was just being paranoid. Over thinking things was his specialty. "They keep me around because I can cook. And they like to eat." And he would never be able to live with himself if one of the crew starved to death. "But...they are good people. No harm will come to you as long as you're on this ship." Finishing up the coffee he was preparing, he poured a mug and set in on the table in front of Urataros.
"We're not on that...kind of ship. We're actually from space..so.." He wasn't exactly sure where to go from there. "I mean - we're still on Earth right now. Just outside of town..." Way to go, kidnapper. Give away your location. Don groaned.
tough love
The Doc and the Turtle? (Thanks for following!)
He’d just started to chop vegetables when he heard their guest stir. It was barely noticeable, but when you’ve spent years listening for your Captain rummaging through pantries, your hearing somehow improved. Don couldn’t explain it. Wasn’t important, anyway. Placing the knife down, but keeping his guard up, Hakase approached the occupied couch. “Ah..y-you’re on the Gokai Galleon. Its a ship..docked just outside town…” He waited a moment for any sort of reaction.
"I didn’t mean to…hit you with the sign. It just — sort of happened? I can’t even explain it.." Really, he couldn’t. "How do you feel? Your head..any pain? Dizziness?"
Urataros was a bit surprised as he saw his ‘savoir’ and listened to his explanation. “So I’m on a ship.. Well that sounds like something good to me.” He replied, after all he was the fisherman. Don raise an eyebrow at Kai, trying his hardest to understand his advice. “But..what if its someone…on the ship? And they reject you..that could ruin the team for everyone…” He frowned at the thought. “Or..if its someone not on the ship..and you want to be with them..you’ll have to choose between that person and your family..thats..cruel…” Just thinking about it made Hakase want to cry.
Kai sensed Don about to cry and tried not too panic. “Ah don’t cry. I doubt that someone will make you choose between them and your family. That would be mean. Also if that someone on the ship doesn’t return your feeling than you can still be friends. It’s not the end of the world.”
Don thought about what Kai had said and frowned. It wasn't about being friends..more about making sure the trust and reliability was still there. Fighting through the awkwardness, he supposed? The younger green sentai shrugged. But he thought about his previous statement. "I think...I would. Beg them to leave. If I knew they fought monsters and dangerous things on daily basis..I'd beg them to walk away..." He sighed.
"And I think I would do it. But I'm selfish."

It took a while before the boy slowly woke up. By instinct he put a hand up to his head to ‘cover’ the pain. “Well that wasn’t a pleasant way to go..” He muttered as he slowly sat up and looked around. “Where.. am I?” He questioned QUITE confused. Did he get kidnapped after getting knocked unconcious? What even hit him to begin with?
"Ryotaro how do you have such horrible luck. I still don’t understand how anyone can still be alive with the luck you have." He thought before realizing his host was still unconscious, he instead had woken up first.
It as then he realized his head had a bandage and he felt it a bit. “Hm? Someone..?” He questioned softly aloud. Well if he was bandaged up it couldn’t be an enemy. Maybe it really was just Ryotaro’s bad luck making them get hurt and Urataros’ luck someone decided to take care of them to make sure they were alright.

The strangest thing happened at the market today. Don had been in the produce, picking out the perfect oranges for tonight’s dish - when a reject one slipped from its placed pile. Though Don could have sworn it was stable when he put it back - it still managed to fall to the floor. And somehow bounce. It hit the closest Aisle Marker, sending it crashing down onto some poor unfortunate soul. The Gokaiger had apologized profusely - even though nobody could say it was directly his fault. And left with the unconscious boy and groceries in tow. A feat for the scrawny blond. Usually just the groceries took all his strength.
Still, somehow, he carried his burden to the Galleon and plopped him on the living room’s couch. Must to the dismay of his crew mates. Living up to his nickname, he patched up the small cut on the young man’s forehead and let him lay there while he unloaded his purchases.
"Some luck you’ve got there…Gomen.."
