ânot speaking at all sounds like a fantastic bargain to me.â she hates socialising with others and hates being asked personal questions. âsounds like my ideal roommate. donât go accusing the âkleptosâ of taking your shit, thatâs a slippery slope and if itâs not them, youâll be in shit.â
âyouâd think so, until they just sit there and stare at you all day.â she explained. âthey donât speak but that doesnât make them any less nosy.â she huffed. âthereâs no way itâs not her, itâs always her. sheâs done this like three times.â
jacob had no clue had to break into a room without a key, let alone pick a lock. he didnât even think that was something people had to do in here. âokay.â thereâs a shift on his feet, looking down at the door. âwell w-what do you want me to do?â
greer grabbed the bridge of her nose with a sigh. what could he possibly do to help? she thought for a moment and opened her eyes once more. âum, just keep watch. make sure no staff come lurking around.â
âBetter than having to break into your own room, right? I mean, might as well try. Better safe than sorry,â he says, hands on his knees as he looks over her shoulder. âYou had lock picking equipment? Dang, thatâs pretty cool. I mean, it can get you in a lot of trouble. But, still. Cool.â
âthe staff hate my guts, maybe you should ask for me.â she bargained. âyeah but apparently thatâs not appropriate for a place like this.â she sighed. âi miss my kit, i wouldâve been in here by now without a trace.â
ben looked at the other. didnât he just say where she could get it? or was he more resourceful than he had originally realized? âget someone to distract the art therapist and steal the magnet latch from a cabinet.â he reminded her, his arms crossing lazily. ânot so much breaking and entering but the truth is grosser than iâd like it to be. so sure, why not?â
âsounds easy enough, i just need to devise a plan, if i wing it, it might not work, and i need it to work. the bitch behind this door is probably stealing all my shit as we speak.â she groaned. âwell, however you know so much, iâm glad i ran into you.â she shrugged. she wasnât going to bother prying, no one in this place opened up and she didnât quite care. âyou can be the one to snatch the latch or whatever you called it.â
âi knew youâd come around.â she smirked, laughing a little bit. âthe more realistic, the better. perfect, add a scream and theyâll really freak out. theyâll probably do what you want just to stop you so you donât set off someone else.â
âdonât get too happy or iâll change my mind.â she muttered. âpromise you wonât let them stick me with a needle and drag me to isolation?â
â alright, then what do you do at least once a week ?? â fleur asked, stopping in the middle of the hallway with crossed arms. â i mean, the lock-picking looks futile. â
âwell, i had other things to get the door open, but they got confiscated after staff realized what i was doing.â she turned to face the girl, arms crossed to match her demeanor. âiâd rather be in isolation than deal with the nut job of a roommate i have.â
jacob just blinked at the girl for a few moments before walking over. he wasnât too sure as to what she was trying to do here. âi can t-try. whatâre you trynâa do?â why she didnât just get one of the staff for unlock it for her he didnât know, but kept it to himself.
the moment greer looked up at who was in front of her she squeezed her eyes shut. this kid looked like a lost puppy. there was no way in HELL heâd be able to help her. âdidnât you hear me? i said iâm trying to get into my room, my klepto for a roommate locks me out whenever she gets the urge to steal my shit.â
Keith had been admittedly watching the girl for a moment, wondering whose room she was breaking into, and was just glad it wasnât his. He never expected her to talk to him, and actually looked around once she called for help. Apparently, he was the one she was talking to, âOh, that sucks. You should try and get a new roommate,â he says, walking over. He wasnât sure how he was going to help, though.
âyou think theyâll actually comply with my requests here?â she rolled her eyes, taking a break from trying to pick the lock. âthey confiscated all my good picking lock equipment, and now iâm stuck with a frickenâ bobby pin.â
âthey sound like FUN.â josie smirks at the young girl, finding the scenario somewhat amusing. âi have no experience in picking locks, iâm afraid. not sure how much help iâd be.â
âhardly. theyâre a pain in the ASS if you ask me.â greer huffed. this wasnât funny at all and yet the girl seemed somehow amused. âgreat. the klepto is probably stealing all my shit as we speak ! i fucking hate the people they pair me with here. iâve YET to have a decent roommate. theyâre all either crazy or donât speak at all.â
â regardless, of whether it is your room or not. you can not destroy and or vandalize property. â aeson declared, rolling his eyes as both of his arms crossed firmly over his chest. â next time youâre locked out, you need to come find a member of staff, and weâll let you in. now, youâll have to come with me, so i can confirm this is in-fact your room. âÂ
greer didnât even fight the urge to roll her eyes. she was irritated, and didnât get why it mattered what she did with her room. âseriously?â her mouth gaped open. âyou donât actually think iâm that dumb to pick someoneâs lock right in plain sight?â
âalright, so when we get in there iâll personally check every inch of that room to make sure she didnât take anything.â she bargained, âi doubt they HATE you. if itâs going to stop you from trying to break into your own room, iâm sure theyâll let you switch. if not, just cry a little bit. maybe thatâll work.â
greer narrowed her eyes at the girl, trying to read her, see if she was lying. âhm, okay....â she started to give a little. so sheâd do it marisolâs way, but if it didnât work sheâd go back to playing dirty. âoh iâm a great faker, and iâll scream-cry.â
it was almost amusing to see. ben was on the hunt for electronics that may or may not be missed. in a place like this it was easy to hide things though, you just had to know where to look. but coming across the other struggling with the door handle, he stopped. ben wasnât even sure if it was the otherâs room or not but he didnât care. âyou just need a strong magnet. iâd say one of those magnet latches from a cabinet in the art room.â if it was one of those doors leading to staff areas and areas they werenât supposed to be in, that was a different subject all together. those were different locks and that meant different mechanisms.Â
greer didnât look up until the other spoke about magnets. âand where do you propose i get one of those?â she couldnât rack her brain to figure out where one would be. he said, a strong magnet, and she wasnât sure if anything like that was around the safe house. âseems like you know a lot about breaking and entering.â greer stood up and brushed off her hands. âwanna help me out?â
â i donât think i can help you break in, â aeson confessed, head shaking from one side to the next. â on the other hand, iâm pretty sure we have a master set to let you in. â he scoffed, leaning next to the girl. â oh, it also might not be a smart idea to break into a room, even if it is yours, when member of staff are watching. â
âand why not?â she asked, her tone of voice going up a notch in annoyance. âwell, good, hand it over then.â she dropped the bobby pin she was fiddling with and opened her hand up for him to give her these magical keys he was going on about. âi donât really care, like you said, itâs my room. i can break into it, especially since itâs not my fault i canât get in.â
âWOAH, alright letâs just relax, yeah? â she smiled over at the red head. âhow about we go ask security to use their key and while weâre there we can ask about getting you a new roommate.â
âi canât RELAX. sheâs a damn KLEPTO.â she said without a falter in her technique. âha. yeah right, they hate me here. you think theyâre going to let me switch out roommates? i doubt it.âÂ
âgod DAMMIT.â the fiery red head spat as she tried her hardest to pick the lock that was in front of her. âhey you.â she nodded at the person she could make out in her peripheral...âgive me a hand? my roommate likes to be a BITCH and lock me out at least once a week.â she huffed.Â
â ⥠°¡:. greer piper is fifteen years old and has been at the safe house for two years and are diagnosed with cipa. they are known to be exploratory and social but also sassy and bossy. around the house, theyâre known to be the sadie sink look-a-like.
â itâs me again, go figure lolz hi this is greer and sheâs a little shit !!!!!
greer oh greer, where do i start? okay so sheâs diagnosed with cipa, which is â Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA), also called hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type IV, is an extremely rare inherited disorder of the nervous system which prevents the sensation of pain, heat, cold, or any real nerve-related sensations (including feeling the need to urinate); however, patients can still feel pressure. A person with CIPA cannot feel pain or differentiate even extreme temperatures. "Anhidrosis" means the body does not sweat, and "congenital" indicates that the condition is present from birth.
okay so basically her disorder has made this lil bitch fearless okay? ok. she thinks sheâs in-fucking-vincable. she feels no pain, literally, so she gets into all sorts of trouble, because she can !!!! sheâs not afraid of anything because she canât feel it.
this makes her a brat, sheâs such a fucking brat sometimes. she thinks she can do whatever she wants whenever she wants and doesnât care who it inconveniences.Â
CIPA sufferers have to live an extremely cautious life, incorporating numerous controls as part of their daily routine. Every morning it will be necessary to check for bruises, scratches or other injuries that might have taken place during sleeping hours, as it is very common for CIPA patients to injure themselves unknowingly. Temperature measuring must be done constantly, as well as urination control, by setting alarms or other reminders. If any kind of accident has been suffered, regardless of its type and severity, CIPA patients must go through a thorough check for compromising injuries. At young ages, permanent surveillance is vital. A lack of awareness of the extreme dangers this condition represents condemns the infant to a complete lack of tools against risk situations.
this is why sheâs at the safe house, she literally has to be monitored 24/7 and her parents were like exhausted and fed up with running back and forth to hospitals all the time and greer doesnât comply willingly so they put her here and now sheâs ensured safety.Â
is always sneaking around doing shit sheâs not supposed to lmao, i imagine sheâs the ring leader of all the sneaky shits like her in the hospital wing.
