Why do we call it venting. At what point in human history did we decide that the thing that disperses air through a structure was to become a verb meant to describe the acting on airing ones struggles. "Hey lifes been pretty stressful lately, do you mind if i become a small grated hole that will assist in air flow throughout the building real quick?" Maybe im just being stupid but i think that Entomologists need to explain themselves

dunno if this was rhetorical but it's probably cause both refer to releasing pressure. venting was originally used to refer to like. poking a whole in something to release heat or pressure or like a volcano "venting" pressure through geysers

Thinkung about the flowery and ralsei parallels again. Ralsei believes they can save the world without hurting anyone by being nice in chapter one, flowery believes he can keep asgore and the other flowers safe by letting the fun gang leave and being friendly (if a bit of an ass) towards them. Ralsei doesn't let themself show emotion at first and has no outwards wants aside from what kris and susie want, flowery is only doing what he does in chapter five because he believes hes doing it for the benefit of asgore and the other flowers and doesn't appear to have wants aside from that. Ralsei wants castle town to be a place where susie can be free from the worries of the outside world and be happy, flowery wants the dark world to be a place separate from light world drama and worries for asgore. Ralsei and flowery are such one note characters early on, smiling and only acting for the benefit of their friends. They arent really people in a certain sense, despite flowerys insisting on being human. The only difference between them is that Ralsei is pre transition and flowery is post transition.

Last song: The Truth from 36 Questions the hit podcast musical. Yesterday was the day that 36 Questions canonically takes place on (most of it at least) so i listened to the soundtrack like all day. Im also really super normal about 36 Questions

Currently watching listening to (i don't watch things really): The Silt Verses, a really good horror audio drama about religion and change. It has great relationships between characters and some amazing voice actors, ive been slowly working my way through it for awhile now.

Currently reading: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I started this one in like late 2024 but had other things i had to read for school that took priority, and my draw to 20,000 Leagues slowly faded. I've been trying to get back into it again cause i quite like it so far, but between deltarune and splatoon raiders and (supposedly) the crossroads update for phighting, i haven't had a lot of headspace left for it

Current obsession: Splatoon raiders has been occupying most of my thoughts as it just came out. Im not typically one for games where you have to make a build and coordinate a strategy, but its been combined with splatoon gameplay so im fine with it

Currently working on: In all honesty im not a very creative person, i enjoy writing, but it takes energy that i struggle to find often. Ive had this idea in the back of my mind for a while, a story structured in the same way as 36 Questions, two people who used to be inseparably close have grown apart and now must reconnect using the 36 Questions, its just that this time its lesbians and Christmas. Its not developed properly like at allll lol

I saw they added legacy nuke the whales and was like "oh cool! I know a lot of people liked it in comparison to the rework, which is my favorite map in the game, but im glad they added it back in! Now we can all be happy!!!!!!" Not knowing that legacy full on replaced the rework.
