I'm doing well! I'm at a new (6 months) job that's going well so far (still giraffes, among others). I live in an area that I don't feel trapped in, I like my coworkers, my life feels much more balanced. I'm working on getting back into reading, slowly but surely, I just need to find what I'll get excited for. College-me would be shocked, but twitter is my social media of choice these days. I have 2 cats. That feels like all the relevant information lol

But more importantly! The gill layer has decreased to reach the stitch count to meet the waist on the cap layer! She has been bathed, pinned, and set to dry.

Next steps are: add a couple more inches to the gills so the gills will naturally droop a bit more. Then waist band in a dark green tweed, maybe some suspenders if I have enough yarn.

Back home from a big trip! Time to get those extra inches on the gills! Last I tried to see how it was working, I added 3 inches, which translated to only like 1 inch poking under the cap. So maybe 5 or 6 inches past what has been blocked?

Tell you what though, the Blue Sky yarn I used for the gills? So friggin lovely after being washed and blocked
