Attraction Marketing - Are You Doing It All Wrong?
Attraction Marketing.
Don't just think of MLM (Multi level marketing) or network marketing. Because it's so effective it's been adopted by all type of online marketing and is one of the best ways to get long term customers for your business.
Attraction marketing is all about giving exceptional value to your customers so they come back to you again and again.
But are you doing it all wrong?
Here's some mistakes you could be making and how to rectify them.
No Personal Web Presence
Because attraction marketing is about, well, attracting people to you, you need to have a personal web presence.
People buy the person not the product and all that sort of thing. The best way to achieve this is to have a blog, preferably with your name as the url. But don't make the mistake of making it all corporate and just about your business.
Inject some personality into it and let your prospects know a bit about what's most important to them. You!
The other nice thing is a blog can't be taken away from you. Don't put all your eggs into one basket and bank on Social Media or any other type of marketing as being your ticket to unlimited traffic and customers. Accounts can and do get shut down, but your blog is yours to keep, so look after it!
Using Social Media The Wrong Way
Lets face it - the temptation when you've got a big list of followers is to try and sell as much to them as you can, because you don't really know them, they're just a number to you. But take an example from the real world. You walk into a department store, cosmetics are always the first department you see. And a shop assistant always comes up and asks if you'd like to try this perfume (or aftershave for the men out there!). They don't know you, but they are trying to form some rapport, however small before they sell to you.
Do the same thing with your followers. Give them a sample of your product. Tell them about yourself. Show them how to do something that your product can make easier for them.
Give them some value so they'll come back to you again and again, or at least listen to what you've got to say.
Being In Customers Faces
Attraction marketing is more gentle persuasion than hard selling. If you're constantly in your customers face, trying to ram your products down their throat they're going to go elsewhere, and in rather a hurry. Take time to build up a relationship with them, and although it will take longer, the benefits will be much greater.
There's still plenty of room for more conventional forms of marketing, and some companies will swear by them. However for small online businesses attraction marketing is a seriously effective tool for generating prospects and leads and retaining customers. Want to know more great internet marketing tips?

Internet Marketing Training - What Is The Ideal Training System?
A lot of internet marketing training systems or programs fall short of what their members anticipate when they purchased it. It's all too easy to get sucked in by the hype on the sales page, only to find that you've bought into yet another system that is just a rehash of something you've already tried.
So the question you need to ask yourself is: What is the ideal training system? Does something even exist?
Interaction With Other Members
Obviously nothing is ever going to be perfect, but a system where you get to interact with other members goes a long way to achieving that goal. With an internet marketing training system where individuals can interact with each other, you want the other members to be a good mix of experience, with beginner marketers, intermediate marketers right through to six or seven figure earners.
That way everyone can benefit from the huge range of experience, and you can also help those at a lower level of experience than you are.
Easy To Access Support
A major problem most people have when running an online business is lack of support to help solve the problems that invariably crop up, or someone to turn to when the going gets tough. So an ideal internet marketing training system would have a private forum where you can ask other members for help, so you're never alone.
Most forums on membership sites have quite a few members who are only on the forum to try and sell their products and services. Watch out for this as an ideal system should either disallow selling of any form, or have a protected area where people can visit of their own free will, only if they want to buy something.
Get Rich Quick? You're Kidding Me Right?
As I mentioned above no system is perfect, and any system that purports to for you to push a few buttons, click your mouse a few times and you'll make millions is something to be avoided.
There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme on the internet. It's all about hard work and dedication, and an ideal internet marketing training system should just be there to guide you, but let you build your own business along the way.
It should provide you with all the training and support you'll ever need, all in one place, but ultimately leave the success of your business up to the person whose responsible for it. You!
Attraction Marketing
To run a successful online business, you must focus on building relationships with your customers and providing long term value, so an ideal training system should be teaching you attraction marketing. Attraction marketing isn't dazzling your prospects and leads with hype and sales pitches, but more focused on offering them repeated value, so over time they get to know like and trust you.
A few final points in an ideal internet marketing training system to note. Training needs to be up to date, and kept up to date. You should check there are regular live webinars and coaching for members and that support is always available to members.
Is there an ideal internet marketing training system?
You be the judge.
Why not check out this free video training. It's by The Six Figure Mentors, a company I think is closest to the ideal internet marketing training company online today.
It's the brainchild of super successful online marketer Stuart Ross and his business partner Daniel Wagner - also a very successful and well known online marketer and entrepreneur.
Internet Marketing Training - What Should You Look For?
Starting an online business can be completely overwhelming because you're faced with so many companies and products offering training and services it can be difficult to know where to begin. One essential thing to bear in mind is that you need to investigate any internet marketing training program before making a hasty decision and spending your hard earned money.
So what sort of things should you look for and what are some of the pitfalls?
Tools and Techniques
The ideal internet marketing training program or system should provide you with all the tools and techniques you need to start and run an online business. You need to be sure that all techniques and training are the latest available and will help you to achieve your online goals.
How can you achieve this?
Do Your Due Diligence
Doing a bit of research on the internet should be your starting place. See how many people are talking about it, or if there's a lot of reviews and articles. In other words how much buzz has it created.
Structured Training
The training needs to be structured in a logical and easy to follow fashion to get you up and running quickly, even if you're completely new to online marketing. It should have step by step training and you need to check that it is updated regularly so you're not getting information that worked six months ago, because of the fast pace of the internet it could now be outdated.
Trainer Interaction Something else that is worth it's weight in gold is being able to interact with trainers and ask them questions on webinars and live calls. That by itself can be worth the price of your membership fee.
Something that is lacking in most internet marketing training programs is comprehensive support for their members. So check for an active community or forum that only members can access. You also want to make sure within the forum or community there's no promotion or advertising so the information you get from the community is purely information based to add additional value to your internet marketing training program.
A community is vital as it's where members can interact with each other and ask questions of other members, and if all members have a common goal they will help each other make money online together.
Mastermind Groups
An additional service you might want to check out and something that very few training programs have today is a facility where members can form mastermind groups and meet up with other like minded members, exchange ideas and socialise with each other. This would be a huge advantage because working from home can often be a lonely and frustrating experience unless you've got someone you can turn to for assistance and motivation.
Transparency
To find out if an internet marketing training system meets all the above recommendations you should be able to easily contact whoever runs the training site, or members of the training site to give you that information. If you're searching for internet marketing training and all you get is hype and vague ideas of what it contains, then it's probably best to steer clear of it. Look for a company that is completely transparent and willing to discuss the benefits with you.
The only training program I'm aware of that can currently meet all these criteria is The Six Figure Mentors. Find out more by visiting The Six Figure Mentors, and also get some valuable training with a free video 7 day online marketing course. Learn about social media, getting traffic, list building, the value of communities and much more.
Starting An Online Business - It's A Jungle Out There
Starting an online business is like walking through a jungle. You never know which scammer is going to pounce on you or what salesman is going to grab you by the throat and shove their products down it! Because the internet makes it so easy to reach hundreds of thousands of people, everywhere you turn there are spammers and scammers trying to pocket your hard earned cash, just to make a quick buck and leave you feeling stupid.
This Product Will Solve All Your Problems.
And This One. And This One!
People starting an online business can be easy pickings, because they haven't necessarily gained the experience to avoid obvious scams. Once you've been online for a while, you'll start receiving hundreds of offers to buy products. I'll put my hand up and admit I've brought a lot of them in the past. For a beginner it's a huge temptation to buy the fastest way to generate streams of traffic, how to build a list of millions, how to make a gazillion in 5 days with only 10 minutes effort a day. You've heard it all before right?
So how do you avoid all this hype and filter out the good from the very bad and rather ugly?
Here's a few quick tips.
Over Hyped Sales Letters
If you went into a shop and were approached by a salesman who said "I've got a great offer for you, it's not a cell phone, it's not a laptop, it's not an iPhone, but it will solve all your problems and you can have it for just $147" would you buy it?
Now don't get me wrong, I think well written sales copy has a place as a device to arouse curiosity and interest, and when you're running an online business, writing sales copy is one of the core skills you need to master.
But when you read a sales letter that states "the secret system that taps a hidden loophole in Google, guaranteed to flood your website with visitors" or it says "here's what it's not. It's not AdWords, it's not paid advertising, it's not Facebook advertising..." avoid it.
If you're not told what the system is (obviously without giving away all the details!) then avoid it! If it's a good product then it should be as transparent as possible in the sales letter and you should have a very good idea of what the product is and will do for you before you buy it.
Unsolicited Email
This is my pet hate as an online marketer, because any ethical marketer will go to great lengths to ensure they only send email to people who have either requested it or given their permission. There's only one answer for unsolicited email. Bin it!
Unsolicited Phone Calls
See unsolicited email. Hang up.
Being Pushed Into A Sale
There's two things wrong with this. First of all if you're being pushed into a sale, the sales person is desperate for your business, so you need to ask the question why? Is there something wrong with the product that they need to push you so hard. Secondly is buyers remorse. When you're pressured into buying something you don't really want, chances are you're going to ask for a refund and never do business with that person again.
Rant Over!
So you can see that when you're starting an online business there's a lot to watch out for, but there is a solution to all this and it's mainly common sense.
Do Your Due Diligence. This is as simple as searching the internet for other peoples opinions on a product. For Internet marketing products the WarriorForum is a good place to start.
Can You Contact People Who Have Used The Product?
Once again go to the WarriorForum, or just search for the product name. If it's a good product there should be a lot of buzz about it.
Something else that's becoming very popular are webinars that demonstrate the product. Webinars are a great marketing tool because you can ask questions live during the webinar, you get to see the product in action, and you get to interact with the product owner. It's a daunting step for some, but consider doing a webinar yourself if you're starting an online business.
The only training program I'm aware of that can currently meet all these criteria is The Six Figure Mentors. Attraction Marketing - Let Your Personality Shine
Attraction marketing is a marketing method that has been used for years online, and is usually associated with MLM (Multi level Marketing) or Network Marketing. However it's now starting to enter main stream internet marketing because savvy marketers are now recognising how valuable it can be.
Attraction marketing is all about building your online reputation and authority through providing value to you customers, followers, fans or whatever you want to call them. Through providing value, you build a relationship with your customers and over time, they will purchase your products, because you've built a solid foundation of trust with them. In essence you attract customers to you instead of actively seeking them through cold calls, paid traffic and other methods.
So what are the ways you can build that type of trust and attraction?
It's actually quite simple and you may already be doing it without being aware.
Your Personal Blog
This could arguably be the best type of attraction marketing. A blog should be your central marketing point where you channel your customers from other online media.
Why? No one can take it away from you! Facebook can shut your account down, likewise with Twitter or any other social media, but your blog is yours and yours alone. Nobody can shut it down. (Apart from the obvious things like information on your blog containing racial hatred, violence, pornography and so on)
Having a compelling blog or website is your showcase to the world of what you offer, what your expertise is, and most importantly who you are as a person. You need to inject your personality into your blog posts. I've made the mistake and have seen a lot of other blogs do the same, where you write a post for example, about Google AdWords and it's all just factual information on Google AdWords, with nothing about your experiences, insights or know how. Boring!
Unless you have that personality element present, people are likely to hit the back button and look for something that holds their interest. So make sure people can get to know you through your blog.
Social media - Twitter, YouTube, Facebook
Social media is all the latest rage and adds fuel to my argument above. Why is it so popular? Because people love to deal with people. As humans we all love gossip, news and interaction with other people. Social media sites fit this scenario so well, you could regard them as a natural attraction marketing mechanism. But once again, you need to talk about who you are, help other people and give advice and free information to build that ever important relationship with potential customers.
Free Webinars
This type of attraction marketing is not for the faint hearted but is extremely effective. The key with a free webinar is to save your sales pitch until last. Before that give loads of useful content during the webinar. You then "earn" the right to sell your product at the end, to a highly targeted audience, assuming your product is closely related to the content of the webinar. Your audience also gets a chance to hear you speak and ask you questions to further enhance your relationship with them .
There are many other methods to use for attraction marketing and a key aspect with any marketing methods you use is to get the right expert training.
The Six Figure Mentors provides expert internet marketing training with a large emphasis on attraction and ethical marketing. Check out these free training videos to discover more about list building, traffic generation, social media marketing and many other marketing methods.
Attraction Marketing - The New Old Way To Market Online
Attraction Marketing - what does it mean?
Well, we've all heard how the internet is so fast paced, things change every day and what worked 6 months ago is now old hat.
What you might not have noticed is that the internet is starting to grow up. Gone are the easy days where you could get a product, slap up a web page, get some traffic and make a ton of sales. Internet users have read so many over hyped sales letters and been subject to so many high pressure sales tactics, that they've got wiser, and don't fall for these tactics so easily any more.
That's where attraction marketing comes in.
It's nothing new, it's been used by the MLM/Network marketing community for years. But now mainstream internet marketers are realising it's so effective at building long lasting relationships with prospects and leads, that's it's time to jump on the bandwagon.
So what exactly is attraction marketing?
To put it as simply as possible it's all about giving value to your customers, before trying to sell them anything so they can get to know, like, and trust you. Once you've built that kind of relationship it becomes quite natural for people to buy from you. The reason is because they already know you provide value so your products must be valuable also.
Why isn't everyone doing it then?
Well for any business with a big budget, paid advertising is still one of the most effective ways to make sales. But for many small business who don't have a large advertising budget, free marketing methods are a necessity.
Attraction marketing takes longer to get results, but it can be more valuable than paid advertising in the long term, just because of the rapport you have with your customers.
How do you go about using attraction marketing?
Actually you're probably already using it but might not have been aware of it. It's all about Facebook, Twitter, blogging, forums and any other Social Media you can think of.
But once again, you can't just go onto Facebook for example, and just try and sell to everybody. You need to give them value through helpful information and advice, take part in conversations, give your opinion and so on.
Your main aim is to add value, make contacts you wouldn't make otherwise, but above all come across as a real person. It's often been said that people don't buy products, they buy people. So people are much more likely to buy from you if they already know and like you.
Attraction marketing is a continual process and over time you will build a large online presence which helps to build your authority. With the authority you gain, gradually you'll start to be recognised as a leader in your industry, someone people turn to for help and advice, and obviously to buy your products.
Where Can You Discover More About Attraction Marketing?

How To Use Twitter - 7 Tips To Get You Off To A Flying Start
At first glance how to use Twitter can seem a bit meaningless and just a jumble of information. If you've ever looked at the Twitter website and especially if you're following a lot of people it's very difficult to make any sense of a message with only 140 characters in it. Yet Twitter can be a very successful marketing tool. Here's 7 tips on how to use Twitter and get off to a flying start.
1. Make Tweets Before Getting Followers
It might sound obvious but make sure you have a few tweets already on your Twitter account before you try and attract followers. If there's nothing there, people won't follow you.
2. Create An Attractive Background For Your Profile
You need to have a compelling background on your Twitter profile. There are some default layouts available in Twitter, however there are also many websites where you can add your own background. Search for Twitter backgrounds on Google and you will get a large list. The whole idea is to make people see that you are serious about using Twitter, and that if you have gone to the effort of setting up your background then you'll also probably be giving out a lot of information.
3. Put Your Website and Personal Information On The Background
A great tip on how to use Twitter effectively and what a lot of people don't do, is to put your website address on the background. It won't be clickable but it does give people the opportunity to learn more about you.
4. Fill Out Your Profile
Fill in your bio and some information about yourself. Make this information align with what you put on your profile background. This will again make you seem like a serious user.
5. Get Targeted Followers.
Follow people who you think are already your target audience. For example if you do online marketing find the Twitter accounts for some of the big marketers. You can them start following them and their followers. It's very likely that their followers are highly targeted so you want to start following them. You can also use Twitter search and type in your keywords. You need to make sure they're targeted. For instance if you type in internet marketing, you'll get thousands of results, but if you type in internet marketing tips and tricks you'll get a lot fewer but they will be more highly targeted.
6. Use Tools For Automation.
Don't forget when you're learning how to use Twitter, there are tools that can automate the process of adding followers to your account. One of my favourites is Tweetadder. This allows you to automate adding followers and following other people. You can even load all the followers for a particular person like an internet marketer in our example above and then follow them automatically over a period of time. Always check before you use any automated software that you are still within Twitters terms and conditions.
7. Create Lists
Twitter to me is like a stock market ticker tape. If you're following a lot of people like I do then you will have constant messages streaming by on your timeline.
How is it possible to make any sense of all that information?
The easiest way is to create a list. You can have multiple lists and it means that you can put all your friends and family in one list, work colleagues in other list and so on.
This lets you easily segregate their tweets from the Twitter soup that races past on your screen. Now the interface to Twitter changes all the time which makes it a bit more difficult to learn how to use Twitter, but all you need to do is locate the Create a List icon and then it's a simple as creating a name for the list and adding the names of people you want to include in your list.
What's really cool is that you can add people to your list even if you're not following them. Go and check it out!Twitter

An Online Business From Home - The Top 6 Mistakes To Kill Your Productivity
So, you've started an online business from home, and now you've got all that freedom to be your own boss, do what you like, when you like and how you like. But there's a trap that most people new to working from home fall into and that's procrastination and lack of focus.
What are the 6 most common mistakes people make to kill their productivity?
Mistake 1: Not Having A Schedule
When I first started using a schedule my productivity shot through the roof. What it causes you to do is be accountable for your actions. If you have a schedule sitting in front of you, telling you what should be done, then you've got no excuse and should be following it exactly as written.
Make a generic schedule first, then each week, fill out those extra tasks that pop up, over some of the generic tasks. You want the generic tasks to be the tasks that you start performing habitually over time, like write 2 articles a day, or create a video a week, and the extra tasks can overwrite them, but as soon as you finish an extra task you have the next generic task to go on with immediately.
Mistake 2: Putting Off The Hard Stuff
Don't put off your hard tasks. Do them first as everything after that seems much easier. If you've been putting off something for days or even weeks, make up your mind that that will be the next task you do, get out there and do it and get it off your plate. You'll feel much better and will remove a roadblock that's been holding back your online business from home from other important work.
Mistake 3: Not Sticking To Your Schedule.
The best way to avoid this is to get an online timer. Just do a search on the internet for online stopwatch or online timer and you should find one. Use it to count down the time left on a task. Having the time for a task displayed on the screen, gets you super focused and avoids you stopping to do other less important stuff.
Mistake 4: Not Having Focus Days
If you can set one day a week to do something in your online business from home that you know could make a huge difference to your output then do it! I'm talking about writing articles or creating videos, or anything that is repetitive but can have a huge output at the end. Have a marathon day where you do absolutely nothing else but write articles or create videos, and you'll be amazed at how much you can achieve. Remember though, absolutely no distractions and it must go on your schedule.
Mistake 5: Watching Your Email.
I know when I start getting bored the first thing I do is go and check my email. Turn it off! When your working from home, there's nothing that's going to be so important that you need to check your email every 5 minutes. Do the same with mobiles or cellphones while you're at it and switch them to answerphone.
Mistake 6: Keeping Things Cluttered
This applies to your work area, and the systems or lack of them you have in place to make your life simple. To run a streamlined online business from home, keep your work area clear and as paper free as possible. Systemise repetitive tasks by making them simple, and document the steps, to pass the task on to an outsourcer.
Avoid these mistakes and ensure that you have a schedule and stick to it. Having a master schedule is the key as it operates as the skeleton for your overall schedule. Keep things tidy, stick to your schedule and every once in a while have an all out day where you furiously focus on one repetitive task for maximum output.
Don't sweat the small things in your online business from home.
You always need support in an online business and that's where The Six Figure Mentors can help you. They're a group of online marketers ranging from beginners to 6 and 7 figure earners, who have the mindset of helping each other, to help yourself succeed and grow your own online business.

Working Online From Home - Eat A Live Frog And 5 Other Productivity Tips
One of the biggest problems you'll face when working online from home is motivation. There's m massive mind shift when you're working for someone else, following their instructions and being told what to do every day.
Then suddenly you've got amazing freedom to do what you want, when you want. If you're like most people that's when the distractions kick in. There's the internet, there's friends visiting, there's shopping to do, kids to pick up and 101 other distractions. Before you know it the days finished and you haven't achieved anything.
Follow these 6 tips to get you back on the right track.
1. Eat A Live Frog
Mark Twain famously said "Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day". He then said something like "If you have two live frogs, then eat the ugliest one first".
To become more motivated and achieve more, take that task, the worst one, the one you've been putting off for ever. Knock it on the head and get it out of the way first thing in the morning and then you've only got good stuff coming your way for the rest of the day.
2. Create A Schedule
Ok, not quite as catchy as Eat A Live Frog, but it's possibly one of the most important in this list and will make a huge difference to remaining focused and being productive. Create a generic schedule with daily tasks, broken down into hours. You must also include time where you're not working like exercise, lunch etc. That's your generic schedule and the one you want to follow to make your everyday tasks into habits you do without thinking about them.
Now each day and week, other tasks crop up, so you should plan those and write them on your generic schedule and save a new copy. That way you've got the tasks you should be doing and also the extra tasks written over them, so when you finish the extra tasks you can go right back to the normal ones. Then stick to it as it's the most important thing you can do when you're working online from home!
3. Time Yourself
Once you've created a schedule it's very easy to go overtime on particular tasks. Search on the internet for digital timer, or online stopwatch, and for each task listed on your schedule, set a countdown with an alarm, and when that goes off move onto the next task immediately.
4. Have Focus Days
Set some days aside where you only do one thing, like write articles, or create videos. Start as early as possible in the morning and keep going until the very end of your day. Don't let anything get in the way of you achieving massive output during the focus day. Add focus days to your schedule!
5. Turn Off Your Email
Close your email application and only look at it twice a day and restrict yourself to 20 minutes each time. When you're working online from home, most emails are not important and don't have to be answered straight away. Same thing with your mobile/cellphone. Turn it on to answerphone. Use your common sense if you're expecting an important call.
6. Simplify
Have a clean desk policy and also try and systemize any repetitive tasks. Try and keep as much paper off your desk (apart from your schedule). Remove anything that is likely to cause distraction like books, gadgets (think cellphone!) and so on,
So working online from home gives you a lot of freedom, but the biggest danger is time wasting and procrastination. Follow these simple tips: Do your worst task first, create a schedule, stick to the times on your schedule, have days where you concentrate on one thing and one thing only, remove all distractions and keep everything as simple as possible.
You must stick to your schedule above all else. It's overlooked by so many people, but is one of the most powerful ways to remain focused and working online from home to build a great business.

Facebook In Business - It Doesn't All Smell Of Roses
Using Facebook in business as a marketing tool can be a goldmine and more and more businesses large and small are realising the potential it has. But it doesn't all smell of roses. There's a lot that's great about Facebook, but then there's also problems and potential pitfalls the unwary can fall into.
Let's look at the good stuff first.
Facebook is massive.
Read massive with a capital M. Current statistics show that the term "Facebook" is searched for 2 billion times per month. No matter which country you come from that's a 2 with a lot of zeros after it! It also has more than 400 million users so is bigger in population than the entire United States. The potential reach to your customers is incredible.
Your posts can go viral.
When you make a post in Facebook it appears on your wall, (now known as your News Feed). But what makes Facebook viral is that same post appears on all of your friends News Feeds, depending on their privacy settings. Even though the maximum number of friends you can have is currently 5000, imagine your message appearing on that many news feeds, with the possibility of that same message being seen by all their friends. The mind boggles!
Facebook is a community.
There are thousands of interest groups. You can join these on any topic you can think of or even start your own. People are primarily on Facebook to help each other, swap stories, ideas, photos, videos, gossip and generally socialize. It's the number one way for people to connect with each other online at the moment.
That's the good stuff. There are a few problems however.
Time
By far the biggest problem is that using Facebook in business takes up a lot of time. For the small or one person business owner it can be a huge investment of time to try and market your business on Facebook. And once you're on there it is sooo easy to get sidetracked. There's such a huge amount of information appearing in front of you that you can go on Facebook for 5 minutes and then waste 5 hours just surfing.
Building A List Of Friends
Building a list of friends is hard work. There are ways to build your list of friends very quickly, but also very randomly. You want your list of friends if you use Facebook in business to be targeted. You need to have friends that are from within your niche in order to maximise your marketing potential and that means searching them out. All 5000 of them!
A Wasps Nest Of Spammers
It's always inevitable when something good happens on the internet. The spammers jump in and take over. Facebook isn't as bad as some other social media platforms, but it is still a big problem.
A Constantly Changing Interface
The Facebook interface is constantly changing. They have a huge amount of help and information on their website, but the interface changes almost daily. That button you clicked yesterday was moved, or that cool application that saved you hours of monotony is no longer available.
So Facebook is a great tool, but not perfect. However, 400 million people can't be wrong. So embrace it for what it is, a great marketing tool for getting to know your customers better and building great relationships with them. On the flip side be prepared to put in some hard, but ultimately rewarding work.

Make Money Online - What Are The Secrets To Success?
Let me guess. If you're reading this article then you've probably looked at many websites and read a countless articles on how to make money online. Bad news! Most of the information you've read is more than likely now out of date.
Gone are the happy days where you could just create a blog with a few posts about your niche and some affiliate links, or publish and article with more affiliate links and then have streams of traffic rushing to your website and piles of cash come rushing into your account.

So what does that leave us with?
We need to learn to grow and adapt. As ever the internet and making money online is a constantly changing battlefield and you can never be sure if the method or system you've just read about today is now defunct and no longer works.
The funny thing is, there are more people who successfully make money online than ever. There's also a lot more who have tried and failed miserably, limping away with their tails between their legs.
What secrets do the successful people have that we can learn from?
Fortunately the answer is really quite simple and can be learned by anyone. It's not even a secret, just plain old common sense. They have a solid understanding of how selling works and how to make money online.

Facebook For Business - Beware Of These Three Deadly Mistakes
Using Facebook for business is an excellent way of reaching out to your market, prospects and customers to promote your business. The beauty of Facebook is that it can be used by any business no matter how small or large to deliver real value to their consumers.
There are however a few "deadly" mistakes you can unwittingly make, that can destroy any chance of building that vital relationship with your consumers. Take note of these so you don't destroy your bond with your customers, possibly even before you've built one.
Mistake 1: Trying to Sell
This is the number one mistake and the biggest turn-off to your clients. If you're serious about using Facebook for business, you need to start providing your customers with value. Instead of basing all your status updates and posts on selling your product try a different approach. If your customers are following you or looking at your Facebook pages then they're clearly interested in what you have to offer. So make your updates more interesting and less a sales pitch by doing some of the following:
Post about news in your industry, helpful hints and tips about the qualities, and pros and cons of your product, case studies of how other people are using it, and even tips on how people can do the same thing without your product. What you're aim is, is to make your company appear to be honest and caring about your customers, and the place to go to for information on your industry. Once you've built that sort of credibility, sales are going to come naturally.
Mistake 2: Posting Too Often
It doesn't matter how good your posts are, posting too often is a no-no. Take a look at other companies using Facebook for business. How often do they post and update clients. Nobody wants a stream of messages from one company or person clogging up their wall, so all you need to do here is use a bit of common sense. Copy what other people are doing.
Mistake 3: Putting Down The Competition
Not only is it not ethical, it's the fastest way to lose the trust of your clients. The internet is a large enough play ground for everyone to play in, and it's not necessary to resort to such tactics.
To ensure success when using Facebook for business, follow some of the steps outlined in Mistake 1 and just offer good, solid information to your prospects. So imagine you own Mikes plumbing service. Don't write a post saying Jacks plumbing service is a rip-off. Instead write a case study about the benefits one of your clients had from your service, or even more simply post a testimonial.
As you can see most of the mistakes you can make in Facebook are easily avoided by using a bit of thought in what you post. This article doesn't cover everything you can possibly do wrong but use it as a starting point for you campaign. Just remember that the top mistakes when using Facebook for business are trying to sell too much, posting too often - you might be keen but it's not a great idea, and putting down your competition. Avoid these and concentrate on building trust with your consumers.

Duplicate Content Exposed - Shattering The Duplicate Content Myth
You've heard it all before. If you write an article or a post on your blog and then republish it somewhere else, you're going to break the duplicate content laws and suffer a terrible fate at the hands of the all powerful search engines. What will happen? Will your website be sandboxed? Will your website be shut down? Gosh, could they even ban you from the internet? Do they really have that power?
Well the happy news is search engines are just software. Very big pieces of software but software none the less! So you're probably not going to be banned from the internet. Phew!
But what exactly is duplicate content?
It does exist. But not in the way the urban myth has perpetuated across the internet. All it means is, if you have a post on your website which you then post again on the same website, then the bogey-man (aka search engines) will treat it as duplicate content. They will only show the post or article they think is the most relevant in their search results. That's all. Simple as that. No sandboxing, no account closing, nothing.
It's not about posting the exact same content to different websites. A few minutes thought is enough to dispel that idea.
Think of a news site like Reuters or Associated Press.
Their news articles are syndicated to thousands of different websites every day. Do you think they change the articles for every website they're displayed on? Not a show! They also still rank highly in the search engines, so it is a bit of a mystery why the duplicate content myth still exists.
Another way to look at it is this: if you wrote a sizzlingly hot, amazing piece of content, would you want other people to change it when they publish it on their website? Definitely not.
When you write good content you want it to appear on as many different websites as possible, unaltered in any way. That way it's going to reach a lot more eyeballs, give you massive exposure and build your authority and credibility. And it might even get you tons of traffic, which is why you wrote it in the first instance.
Consider this also. If duplicate content was a reality, how would Article Directories survive, and why would they even have started? One of the main functions of an article directory is to give webmasters content for their websites. Read up on the conditions for using content from article directories. The rule that stands out is: if you're using an article from an article directory on your website, then you must not alter it in any way.
Bang goes the duplicate content theory everyone knows and loves!
So, next time you write some content, send it out to as many different websites as you can. Try and get the maximum exposure for your content as possible, but don't change it.It's yours, you wrote it and you had a particular message to get across so why alter it?
Did you know, Article Directories actively encourage syndication? Check out some of their blogs!

Niche Ideas - How Do You Find Hot Niches?
Niche ideas are essential if you're looking at marketing as an affiliate or producing your own products. Here's a list of some of the best places on the internet to find what niches are hot at the moment.
Google Trends
This is probably the most popular free niche research tool. You just enter your search term and it will display the number of searches for that term (indicating how popular it is) and list the results by country. You can also compare several different keywords and how they rank will be displayed on a chart. An excellent tool for niche ideas.
eBay Pulse
eBay pulse offers a daily snapshot of whats hot on eBay. Because eBay is so popular, you can assume that if it's hot on eBay, then it's hot everywhere else. Another great tool for niche ideas.
Forums In Your Niche
All niches have forums. For example the weight loss niche is one of the biggest niches available and is a multi billion dollar industry. But weight loss is such a huge niche there are thousands of other niches that are more focused on a particular type of weight loss. So use Google trends or eBay pulse to find a popular niche and then drill down into it by joining forums that are in sub niches of the super niche. Then simply check out what people are talking about and you'll quickly discover what the current trends are, whats hot and whats not.
Amazon Top Sellers
Amazon Top Sellers is a great tool as once again, amazon is so big that checking out the best sellers in a super niche will quickly let you discover the popular underlying niches. It's also a great place to get ideas for content for your niche website. Have a look at the table of contents in some of the top sellers for article and blog ideas.
Google Keyword Tool
When it comes to actually creating content, you need to refine your article down to particular keywords. Using the Google keyword tool allows you to find the most popular searches in your niche, so you can then use those keywords to rank your articles and content.
Surchur
Surchur is a great site that aggregates trend information from all the major search engines and social media platforms and gives the topic a ranking out of 10. It has a nice graphical format so it's easy to spot the hot niches.
When looking for niche ideas use a combination of these tools and you'll get much better results. Use Google trends, eBay pulse and amazon best sellers to get your overall niche and then drill down into your niche with forums, the Google keyword tool and surchur.
