scarlettdupree:
practically any man would fall to their knees if scarlett as so much asked them to kiss her heels, but even she got bored of them every once in a while. the tip of her tongue glided slowly along her lower lip as her gaze stayed upon the younger male. university student, at best. didn’t even look old enough to order a drink from the bar - would still probably struggle if he owned a fake ID. “internship,” she repeated his words quietly before taking a seat at his desk, the chair slightly digging into her back. “you chose quite the company to be an intern for. you’ll gain many connections and i’m sure a lot of knowledge for the field.” did she really know anything about having an internship? no. but it just seemed like that was the average goal on an intern, to learn.
many of the men around the office had tried and failed multiple times to ask her out on a date, she had to wonder if it crushed their souls to see her speaking to the youngest one in the building. showing interest in him over them. “no, i’m afraid you can’t get me anything..” at least - not yet, it would’ve been rude of her to be so crude and vulgar so early into their conversation. “have you ever been to club novu,” she asked him simply, though she already knew his answer would be no. she would’ve remembered a sweet face like his in the crowd of regulars. “are you even old enough to get into a club?”
greg knew that he was probably staring a little more than he should have, and he knew that his eyes were probably a little wider than they should have been, but he couldn’t help it. she was stunning. greg had seen many girls, whether they be at school, in movies, on television shows, or just people passing by, but never in his nineteen years of living had he seen someone so beautiful. not only was she beautiful, but she had the sex appeal of a goddess, and boy, was greg surprised that she was even talking to him. “i admire the company,” he stated, admiring her as he said it. “i admire everyone here. they all work very hard, and i wish to be this successful one day.” he smiled, nodding affirmatively. his father was wealthy, but greg was not. yes, he had a savings account with multiple figures in it, but he never touched it unless he really wanted something, which was rare. anything he actually needed his father purchased, but not before making greg work for it.
“i’ve never heard of it...” he trailed off, feeling somewhat inadequate that she had asked him a question and he couldn’t respond with a substantial answer. “i mean, i know most clubs have an age limit of eighteen. does that one have an older limit? because, i mean, i’m only nineteen, so if it does, that’s probably why i’ve never heard of it, or been there.” he laughed nervously, hoping that his rambling wouldn’t scare her away. “to tell you the truth, i’ve never been to a club.” greg couldn’t believe that he had admitted that to her. he was trying to make an impression, and there he was, sounding like a child. he supposed it was better to tell her the truth than to lie and her catch him in it.
