Most volunteers are at least 18 years of age, but opportunities are also available for volunteers 16 and 17 years of age with a parent’s permission. The club's volunteers must successfully complete an application and background check process before overseeing activities. Additionally, volunteers may enroll in the BGCLC mentorship program at two of the sites. This program requires them to meet with the same group of club members for one hour, once a week, for at least three months.
