I’m not like the hugest fan of the Apollo/Graves ship (it can be cute) but I just saw more fanart of it and actually the idea of a posh little royal heir to the throne catching feelings for the goth girl from his boarding school has some angst potential.

They’re teenagers so of COURSE they would fall hard enough to hurt themselves when his family inevitably tells him that he can’t be with this random (human) American girl.

Family/royal court disapproval aside, what’s he gonna do, ask her to move back to Ixia with him after high school? Ask her to be Queen when he takes the throne and live the rest of her life in court politics? There’s no way to look at it that doesn’t eventually end messy and heartbreaking.

The only happy ending I could see them getting is if he either abdicates or if the monarchy collapses while he’s safe at school and he’s suddenly free of obligation lol.
