fantasy high is wonderful because there is simply so much representation and even in the moments when it's not perfect (and it won't always be perfect, as the world comes from the mind of a cis straight white man (love u brennan)) it's still so loving. when i think of ayda and garthy and all of the queer romances in the show, each portrayal is so loving and earnest that it still feels genuine and it's easy to tell that any slip ups come from a place of heart and not ignorance. i know the whole fandom doesn't always agree on these things but i think brennan has done a beautiful job of creating a world that is inviting for all viewers.
