I wish friendships were treated the way that romantic relationships are. Like, my relationship with my best friend is completely magical and means a lot to me, but because I’m not in a romantic relationship people are like, “Aren’t you lonely?” “Who are you gonna spend your life with?” “Aren’t you scared of being alone forever?” “Romantic and sexual relationships are more fulfilling!”

First of all, I like being alone. Second of all, I ain’t lonely if I got my best friend, and third, romantic and sexual relationships aren’t for everyone. I mean, don’t over look friendships just because they don’t involve sleeping together or because there’s no romantic aspects.

sex is an important part of YOUR relationship. the keyword here is YOUR. what asexuals do and dont do in their romantic endeavors is none of your business, and its disgusting to force what you think makes a ‘real’ relationship on others.
