dragongirlfinnigan:
Erin could always tell when someone was watching her draw. The shadow did most of the telling, and she could practically feel the person craning over her and looking at the paper. She turned and pulled the paper into their line of vision and smiled. âItâs just a dragon. See?â
Griffin was out doing what he gets paid to do, making sure deliveries are set through the month with the establishmentâs owners or whomever they put in charge of inventory. While he was at The Three Broomsticks he saw someone he thought might be familiar sitting alone with some parchment. For some reason curiosity got the best of him and he decided to be nosy and see what the woman was scribbling away. It seems his presence betrayed him as she almost immediately moved the paper in his sight and commented about it just being a dragon. âI knew it was you, Finnigan. Youâre such a nerd.â

alice-ii:
âYou wonât do anything. Because Iâm a woman of my word.â Alice replied without hesitation, not wavering on that matter. One could even consider it a fault of hers for expecting others to keep to their word as she did. It was along the same vein that she considered it a betrayal to be lied to. There was no place for lying in her life, especially now. The benefit of the doubt she gave in regards to otherâs character was not hard to ignore, but she was becoming increasingly less lenient. âIâm sure Iâd be happy for them to pay for my drink.â She retorted lightly, taking a sip of her drink as she considered her answer. âNot rum. Not now. Scotch.â Something about it fit her mood in the moment. âBut only if we have a deal,â she added, being the first to reach out an open hand, ready for a shake.Â
âLongbottom, is it?â Heâs been terrible at keeping track of the names of the individual person that takes in the shipments, rather keeping their faces in memory in association to the business they represent. This girl is much different than the other feather-pushers heâs been in contact with and all it took was this random meeting to see the fearlessness in her attitude. If only she knew who he really is. Keeping her face and name in mind he might want her in the Blood Thieves, but nothing indicates her prowess in a duel or proficiency in muggle weaponry. Still food for thought. He looks down at the hand reaching out towards him for a moment before he meets with his own in a firm handshake. âDeal. And Scotch, huh?â Thereâs little surprise in her beverage of choice. He does raise his hand up for a brief moment to gain the attention of someone that actually works at the tavern. He could feel the presence of some timid server approaching them and without really looking at them he simply puts in his request for them to bring a bottle of their finest scotch. Not really his drink of choice, but he does have to respect her decision of drinking something definitely not on the fruity side. Once the person leaves to fulfill his request he smiles at the woman. âGifts like yours should not be wasted at the Leaky Cauldron. Surely you have eyes on something other than that.â
brennanbrogan:
Of course he knew more. Heâd been at Ramonaâs side, watched the inevitable collapse after she took someoneâs life. At least, started to. Brennan had shouldered the real burden for her. Whether it was a Death Eater or not, there would be repercussions for that. Someone dies, someone else suffers. It occurred to Brennan now that Griffin may not have ever felt those after shocks before. Maybe he murdered without feeling but not everyone was capable of that. âI just know what I saw.â He finished the rest of his drink in one gulp, setting the glass down. âAs I said⊠Youâre in charge. If you believe she can handle it, then thatâs all there is to it.â Because arguing you with Griffin wouldnât change anything.
The words come by fast and then disappear when Brennan finishes his drink, but it was not missed by Griffin by any means. He figured that his right hand was only speaking from a place of love over her, whatever type it might be, but he did not really take into account that he personally saw something that casts doubts about Ramona being on the team. What exactly could it be that changed his perspective so suddenly? Could it be that she was unable to protect herself from a petrified target or the act of murdering in cold blood? The latter seems more probable than the former, which he can understand at some level that itâs not for everyone. His first kill changed him forever, yes, but not in ways that it seems to have taken hold of Ramona. His anger over his fatherâs death masked the repercussions that other people might feel, and honestly itâs his revenge thatâs helping him not deal with such a fickle thing like morality. Griffin looks at Brennanâs glass and sighs heavily, having an actual moment of weakness by taking someoneâs emotion into consideration. âIf it will make you and her happy, Iâll keep her on something more restrictive with little to no exposure until sheâs ready.â
aislinnxbrennan:
âThe real problem is that you got so angry after only a few words. Youâre so sensitive, Griffin. Youâre strong, yes, but youâre sensitive. Your weakness is obvious and you need to be careful with that.â She didnât want anyone who didnât actually care about him - which, surprisingly, she did - use that to their advantage. She worried if he got too riled up he wouldnât be able to fight, should it be during an attack. Though from what she knew, he wasnât a huge part in this war and she hoped it would stay that way. But from what she knew about him, that wasnât likely. âItâs coming from both. I donât want to have to arrest you at some point, but I also donât want to see you arrested⊠or hurt.âÂ
Itâs no secret that Griffin wears his anger on his sleeves and as much as he hates to admit it, Aislinn does have a valid point. Itâs easy to push his buttons thatâll elicit a response that might vary in degrees of outrage, but itâs been so long since heâs kept his raw emotions in check and at the moment he sees no reason to. Even he could see that this comes from a real place of concern from her and even though heâs been anything but nice to her she keeps wanting his best interests. Reminds him of his little sister, which somewhat pisses him off. He exhales sharply, putting on that mask he usually does to downplay her words as if it does not matter to him. âIâm not getting arrested any time soon, so you donât need to worry about me at all. But nice effort. You almost had me going there for a split second.â

noah-kettleburn:
âFucking hell is a pretty accurate description, honestly.â He wouldnât admit it to anyone, not even Rose, but some nights he still had nightmares about the attacks. The racing heart and ragged breathing brought on by the nightmares was an unwelcome reminder of how helpless and powerless he felt, a feeling he never wanted to replicate. He nodded absentmindedly, still stuck in his memories. âYeah, I was. I wasnât caught unaware that time, so I didnât land in St. Mungoâs.  But it just convinced me that the Death Eaters need to be stopped before thereâs a third.â
From what he recalls about the events surrounding both attacks itâs a surprise that Noah is still in one piece, so to speak. Griffin is not in the business of enlisting minors into their rankings, but they proved to be a lot more resilient than the run-of-the-mill students from Hogwarts. Not to dwell too much on his fatherâs past, but when the original leader of the Death Eaters was around it was a group of students who stood with the Order and former students to stop the threat. It does not seem like most of those adults forsook them in the thick of it, so why should Griffin start? There must have been something that Lux saw in Noah to have him formally invited, but what could it be? Griffin nods when he hears that the newbie did not want to be in the same position he was in back in the first attack. He lets out a sigh and offers a bit of a smirk when he speaks, âIâm headed to a pub, think you can keep up kid?â

alice-ii:
Alice paused for a moment, looking across the table as she took an unnecessarily long, and uncharacteristically dramatic breath in followed by an outlandish sigh. âWell Iâm not so easily swayed by a compliment, but I can respect a compromise. Just let me get that to you on the next delivery in?â She countered lightly, knowing she would need some time to ask for some favors., smirking a bit she gave a shrug. âOr paid in part now with a drink or two. Although with all the waiting theyâre making you do, Iâm assuming everything with be on the house.â Truthfully she would take the opportunity to drink where she could.
While he does not like the current arraignment that Alice is proposing to him, he might just have to agree to her terms just for a quick Galleon âThe next delivery, you say huh? And if you arenât a woman of your words, then what exactly will we do about that?â He does look towards most the staff about the room to notice that none of them would make eye contact with the man, something that is starting to get him upset. He was here to meet with the establishmentâs owner but instead they are late and it ultimately does not really bode well for their future relationship as supplier and distributor. âSave your money for my pay day. Iâm sure theyâll be happy to pay for your drink as well. The only question really is, whatâs your poison?â
brennanbrogan:
Brennan thought of Ramona, standing in the alleyway, gun at her side, watching the Death Eater girl. He thought of the way her shoulders had been slack, her face drained of color. Did he believe she could handle what they were doing? Not in the least. âShe is also young and inexperienced compared to what you put her up against.â The words were almost accusatory, if Brennan hadnât been so careful to restrain the irritation in his voice. For all anyone knew, they could have been merely discussing a work task of some kind, a business disagreement. In some ways, it was.Â
The reality of it all is that on the day of the attack Griffin needed all hands on deck to make sure their rescue mission would be swift, so he did not really think twice about having Ramona there. If Lux did not agree with the decision to have her there because of the high risks then she would have said something before hand, but they had no real way of keeping track of everything that actually occurred during the time frame of the attack. âYou seem to know more than youâre letting on there Brogan.â
