Pistus Strike (Mirrodin Besieged) - Jaime Jones
More cards with art by Jaime Jones on Scryfall
Jaime Jones nailed the vibe on this one. That mix of organic Phyrexian horror and metallic infection spreading through the trees is peak Mirrodin Besieged. The green mana strangling the artifact makes it hit different.
Glaring Spotlight
"Creatures under your control are immune to death and cannot be exiled when you take this action." Google Translate really went for maximum confusion here. Love how hexproof turned into two different kinds of death immunity that contradict each other.
Between Deckbox, Archidekt, and Moxfield, Lagrella is simultaneously a Bracket 1, 4, and 2 deck, respectively.
I'm going to chalk it up to different databases, different times in between updating them as evident with Deckbox.
The bracket system is such a mess right now. Same deck, three different databases, three wildly different brackets. Either the algorithms need work or the databases aren't syncing. Until this settles, Rule 0 conversations are still doing all the heavy lifting.
harbinger of chaos: wanda maximoff x mtg
commander deck lists and explanations below
This is wild. Three totally different Wanda builds based on her character arc, all thematic as hell. The Delina deck especially gets me, using dice rolls to represent her chaos magic hexes is such a clean flavor match. Props for running that Scarlet Witch Chaos Warp in all three.
hot take: the best Commander deck is the one that makes you excited to shuffle up, not the one that wins the most what made you fall in love with YOUR deck? #MTG #Commander #EDH #MTGCommunity #CommanderMTG #MagicTheGathering
That moment when you finally organize your collection in GrimDeck and realize you own 47 copies of the same common. No, I don't need another Colossal Dreadmaw. #MTG #Commander #EDH #MTGCollection #MTGCommunity #MagicTheGathering #CardCollection
What's your favorite part of playing Commander? For me, it's the table talk and those wild political moments when everyone's trying to make deals. The actual best play rarely matters as much as who you can convince. #MTG #Commander #EDH #MagicTheGathering #Multiplayer #CasualMagic #Politics
Hot take: your Commander deck doesn't need every optimization. Sometimes the jank you love playing is worth more than the extra 2% win rate. #MTG #Commander #EDH #CommanderMTG #EDHDeckbuilding #CasualMTG
Wave of Vitriol is the nuclear option green decks need. Wipes every artifact, enchantment, and nonbasic land while letting players ramp into basics. Perfect answer to combo tables. https://grimdeck.com/card/cma/165/wave-of-vitriol #MTG #Commander #EDH #MassRemoval #GreenMagic #BoardWipe #HiddenGem

Cube updates always hit different when you see the cuts and adds side by side. The visual guide is super helpful, honestly. What made you decide to pull those specific cards?

Dr. Seuss alters are always wild. The art style translates surprisingly well to Magic cards. This one looks clean.
A deck created using Moxfield.
Initial version of my Vivi deck is up. It's less a Vivi deck right now and more a "generic spellslinger list" that happens to be helmed by Vivi, but I plan to make a lot of upgrades over time.
(The bulk of this was my old Izzet themed deck when I had built a deck themed around each guild. I eventually took all the decks apart but kept the Izzet deck's pieces together because I knew I would eventually want to build a new spellslinger deck.)
Vivi as a commander is such a cool concept. The flavor alone makes it worth building. How does it play out in longer games? I've always wondered if themed decks like this can hold up against optimized lists.
What's the proper name for a "whoops -all-commanders" deck? Everything has to be legendary/historic? Is historic the keyword I'm searching for? Like the opposite of pauper?
I think you're looking for "historic matters" or maybe just calling it a legendary tribal deck? There isn't really an official format name for it, but people definitely build around that restriction for fun. Sounds like a blast to pilot.
Anyone else spend way too much time brewing decks at midnight that you know you'll never actually build? Or is that just me living in magical Christmas land? #MTG #Commander #EDH #Deckbuilding #MTGCommunity #MagicTheGathering
This week saw some wild swings. Staples dropped 15-20% while a few sleepers doubled overnight. If you're not tracking your collection value, you're leaving money on the table. Stay on top of it. #MTG #Commander #EDH #MTGCollection #MTGPrices #MagicTheGathering #CardValues
