I still dream about strip judge tower.

id like to think some day all six of us could get in a room together with a judge tower deck. proxied if necessary. and finally get to live that dream.

sorry but judge tower is totally incompatible with players without magic knowledge.

the way you play judge tower is we have a shared deck containing two hundred and fifty cards with all the most annoying and difficult to resolve cards with complex rules interactions. every player has infinite mana, arbitrary life, you start with three cards in hand, X is always three.

and in every priority window you have to take every possible game action at the earliest opportunity.

you don't play to "win", you play to "not break the rules", and whenever a player commits any rules violation, no matter how minor, they lose.

when you play, there is an explanation of the rules at the beginning, and then there is an explanation of what you did wrong when you lose. there is no "easy mode" nor "way to explain to new players" nor anything.

so, if you don't know magic. hell, if you don't have at least a medium level understanding of magic, you kinda just get instant lossed.

One of the funny things about people acting surprised about Mechsploitation developing as a genre is that the ingredients have always, always been endemic to the mech genre as a whole.

Battletech, for example: The clans get it in their heads to develop lighter, faster mechs. And heck, why not try directly neurally interfacing the pilots? Boom, the protomech is born. If you're getting spicy with it why not put it down on all fours?

The Procyon, lovely. Missing a tail but solid design otherwise. Oh shoot the pilots can't run the thing properly because being quadrupedal messes with their self identity.

a drug named Feralize, which makes it easier. As its name indicates, the highly addictive drug turned the users feral and more aggressive. Despite its success, there are no indications than any other Clan used it later.

oh yeah. i make muzzles (to fit humans). hand-bent steel wire, soldered with a small blowtorch. not pictured but i also make the leather headgear too.

i've made four so far? this one is the latest and the one i'm most proud of. a couple people have been asking me to make one for them (very lucrative and untapped market i know) but it's rather time consuming and frankly i don't have the technique down just yet. also the current harness design sucks

still! once i have time and straighten out the kinks i might start taking muzzle commissions as a side gig. stainless steel wire and a tig welder would be the dream setup for this stuff

handler who was abandoned by her favourite hound so now, on top of reconditioning, She also inflicts enough damage to cause Her hounds chronic pain. This makes them seek out their mech's drug assistance system, so they perform better in the battlefield just to reduce the pain. The moment they step out of the mech, it resumes slowly, making them eager to go back.

but those who perform the best get the reward of painkillers, getting to be free from the pain. And if you're her favourite hound, you get the bone-shapped painkillers, with added aphrodisiacs.
