I have been prescribed a couple of antidepressants from my psychiatrist and doctors that took care of me during my partial hospitalization, and I haven't taken a single one because my dad doesn't want me on meds out of fear I'll become too dependent on them like him. Which is really frustrating because I need them. I want to take them. I can barely function as it is, if meds help me just a little then please just fucki ng give them to me.

This surprised me at the time, but it doesn’t now. Because House is physically disabled. He has a bad leg and deals with chronic pain because of it.

It makes sense that he knows how the world treats marginalized people because he IS one.
