And in the distant past so too did the elephants make war upon each other, with such sciences and machinations that they marred the earth and set its continents adrift, and fire and lava, the blood of the earth, spewed forth from its crust. And after so devastating a war that nearly brought all of life to its end, the remaining elephants met and saw the terrible outcome of their works, and they elected that the only course of action would be to retreat into antiquity, and they unmade their great works and passed on the gift of knowledge to their scions. They turned inward and reverted themselves to tribalism, seeing that from hunger for domination only death comes.

Walking on campus today I found a really good stick, like perfect walking stick height (although not staff height) with a little fork under where your hand rests so (naturally enough, I thought) I picked it up and went for a stroll with it and it was lovely and I think the world would be a better place if everyone had a stick to stroll around with and look at trees with.
