Wait, isn't back-end the stuff only coders see? Or is it like the whole thing pictures and all? Because if it is hidden then yeah I think I was angry for a stupid reason. Still am because it's been years now and they still haven't open shit. But that first year I probably should've been calm.

Back end is not what we can see on websites dumb-ass. Either just let go like adults and do something you enjoy, get therapy for your anger and search up shit to learn what you're talking about, or go touch grass and take a break off the internet to clear your minds. Complaining on this blog ain't healthy ya know. Same with holding on to your hate. Cut's your lifespan down, gives ya stress which can lead to teeth grinding, and gives you stomach/bowl issues.

Back end is different from what we can see on websites. Front end code like UI, Images, page layouts, ect are what we see and interact with on websites. The back end is basically the base/behind the scenes stuff that we aren't privy to. So yeah the back end code might have been at %95, but most of the front end wasn't at the time. I can say that the front end is now about %60-80 done from what I can see, but I can't check everything without having permission to log in. Yes they took a long time, but think about what happened IRL between that announcement and the following years. This year especially.

Backend is non-visual stuff (No UI, No Menu, Just the base code for site specific functions). And Lorekeeper code is insane to learn and go through, let alone edit/add to. The backend could be 99% finished now, but they still have to get all the UI set up, get everything tested, upload everything, and squash bugs, ect, ect. It could take a very VERY long time to get everything working right, looking right, and make it nice to look at.

Back end =/= front end code. Don't forget that they also changed coder multiple times and a lot of the hiatus is because of a lack of coder availability. The mods did say that. Yall keep pushing the mods to update and keep on flaming them when they do update cause of your constant pestering. Find something else to do, and let GG take the time it needs to finish the website. You are not entitled to anyone's time and personal life knowledge, so stop acting like it. It costs nothing to be nice.

Except the GG mods claimed the back end code was "95% complete" over half a year ago. We're almost at three full years of hiatus where they still keep putting blame on members for asking questions where they're constantly pretending like there is something to ask about. If they needed to put the group on a full activity stop, they should do it instead of pretending like updates exist where they don't. That's what people are mad about, because it keeps on giving them false hope and hype. (1/2)

TL:DR; Non mod posted here, GG did actually take responsibility and need to focus on IRL, holding hate hurts everyone including you. Alright, been alerted to someone claiming to be a scarfit mod. While what they said about the owner of our group is true, the person responsible for the ask is not a mod of the discord or main part of the group. They were not supposed to be putting words in our mouth, only run the Tumblr as a favor (which they haven't). As for the rest of what they said, and these are my words not the group, please have compassion. Yes the whole world is on fire, but that doesn't change the fact that the GG staff as well as our own and our affiliates are stressed beyond belief. Nor does it change the fact that the staff of any group can't be online 24/7 and have to focus on real life especially in this time. Focusing on IRL is the best they can do to stay alive and eventually get back into the swing of things when everything has calmed down.

You can do other things in the meantime, you don't have to stay in any group nor continue to dog on groups you don't like. But things like this are not healthy for anyone. Holding onto hate and fueling it because of something that has or hasn't happened will only hurt everyone involved including you. And this is being said by someone who has felt burnt by GG and another group that I won't drag in here. Let the mods take care of themselves first, let them rest. They've told you that they needed to focus on IRL and put the group in the back burner for now, so they did take responsibility. That is all I have to say. Thank you for reading this.

Thing is, about that hot take. GG mods tried the "gotta focus on IRL for a while" message. But people here still complained that it wasn't precise enough of an excuse. People here want the mods to work while they don't want to, or have the time to, simply for the fact that the mods "took responsibility of the group". People are entitled to do what they want with their free time, and they wony spend it working on the group that's being always scrutinized for every little thing all the time.

I honestly agree with the "US isn't the only one" anon. Like, I don't blame them for being stressed out, but they could at least tell us why they're behind and figure out where they actually are on the progress bar they're stuck at. Hell (and idc if this gives who i am away) the owner of Scarfits has been trying to figure out progress percentages and checklists so that they can give proper updates and get everything can get back on track. All while holding a job and managing their own health issues. Why is a mod saying this here first instead of the announcement channel? Because I ain't the owner and don't have their permission to go rogue and post it there. They want to write it proper. But like seriously, if the stress is getting to you GG mod team, don't be afraid to say it and put everything on pause. It's better that people know then being left in the dark. Because not saying anything only hurts more than it helps.

Hot take maybe but it's kinda tiring that everyone keeps constantly defaulting to "ok but it's a US based group so that's why they're not doing anything." The rest of the world is exploding too but people still either keep up with their passions as distractions or they admit that they have to focus on irl. Being constantly US centric on everything just cause things are also bad in the US is lowkey diminishing the fact that everywhere is stressful rn.
