One bottom teeth is slightly peeping out of her gums!! The household all squealed in joy and excitement when we noticed. 💕 Apparently, her one week fever that goes on and off (which even went up as high as 38.5) was really because she was teething. We had her checked twice by two different doctors as we were really bothered; she even underwent some laboratory tests which turned out normal. We were so worried when the doctor told us that teething fever typically does not go beyond 38 degrees. In conclusion, it is safe to say that every child is really different and a mother's intuition is almost always right (lol); not to say I am better than doctors (ofc we're better safe than sorry so we better consult an expert) but the connection between a mother and a child will always come handy 😉 PS. This photo taken after ilang oras na iyak ng iyak si Sia. She’s being colicky or kinakabag kung tawagin which is very usual sa isang baby at pinakamatindi at 6 weeks old. Ayaw magpababa sa karga at kahit anong gawin hindi tumitigil sa pag-iyak (until this photo). Kahit inaantok ka na rin o nangangalay na sa paghele, kailangan mo tiisin kasi kung iisipin masakit o masama talaga sa pakiramdam ng isang baby kapag kinakabag siya. It so easy to lose your patience pero mangingibabaw sayo yung awa kasi nakikita mo na pagod at antok na rin siya kaiiyak pero di talaga komportable ang pakiramdam niya. You both have to get through this episode of colic.

At an early age, I learned about responsibility being the eldest in the family. I first experienced changing dirty nappies at 10 years old for my youngest brother; and at 13 years old, ako na yung mag-isang naiiwan mag-alaga sa dalawa kong kapatid na toddler kapag walang pasok sa school. But when Sia came, it was a whole lot different. Being responsible earned a new meaning. Mula sa pag-nurse, pagpunas ng laway ultimo pag-gupit ng kuko. I have to be mindful of everything kasi kung hindi, walang gagawa para kay Sia. It may sound so unappealing and yes, it is not easy as mothers make it look like. Pero totoo ring napaka-fulfilling niya no matter how cliche it sounds. Yun pala talaga yung totoo, yung kahit pagod ka o antok ka o ngalay ka na, tatayo at kikilos ka pa rin kapag narinig mong umiyak yung anak mo sa tabi mo kasi kailangan ka niya. And to see her so comfortably sleeping in your arms after attending to her needs is the sweetest thing ever. Walang kapantay na experience.

My sweet tiny ball of sunshine (na medyo iyakin minsan hehe), I knew motherhood will be a wonderful experience but I never knew I would deeply love being called your mom. I love you so much! 💕
