15th Dec - 10th Jan / Koh Lanta, Thailand
Taipei / 101, dumplings, metro stops, people, mountains on the outskirts of the city and inside Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
Island life lately: Bonfires and sunsets. Nights out in Semporna and in the village. Cheesecake and wine on the beach. Time on boats, games and a lot of hanging with the guys.
15.05.23 / Made it to dive instructor

Stork-billed kingfisher, rhinoceros hornbill and the Borneo pygmy elephant
Kinabatangan - day 2

Kinabatangan river - day 1
Proboscis monkey, oriental pied hornbill, proboscis monkey, baby orangutan and longtail macaque
Arrived on Cát Bà Island
Sapa day 3 - we went searching for waterfalls in the mountains, heard frogs and birds, saw butterflies, looked at plants and mosses (or at least I did, haha) and had more egg coffee.
My soul was as happy as the fog was thick
Through the fields near Sapa, indigo-coloured hands and a return to Sapa deep embedded in clouds
Sapa day 1
Hanoi update - egg coffee, bún cha, saigon beer and the streets
In the past weeks:
I’ve gone barefoot due to my flip flops giving up. We’ve said goodbye to one of the managers. Ramadan started. And the weather’s been a bit too warm. But, we’ve also had cheese and wine, butter on bread and cheesecake! I’ve also been studying everyday for the upcoming instuctor course and have had my last day ‘working’ as a divemaster…..
Best of all - I’ve spend a lot of time in and on the water with lovely people (more videos below).
The next 10 days I am devoted to Vietnam and Julie (🩷). Got the perfect send-off by the driver, listening to Westlife all the way to the airport.
You’re welcome:
Mabul lately.. And from a few hours in Semporna on my day off.
Decisions have been made and other cozy stuff have been going on, since I left Indonesia.
I returned to Mabul on the 14th of February. At the moment I am interning as a divemaster until I will do the IDC (instructor course) in May.
The past weeks I went shopping for a fan, moved into staff accommodation and had cheeeeese (!) and crackers. I also started my day off with breakfast in bed, went reef cleaning, and found my first bluering octopus by myself!
Cheers
