Hi, we are the environmental sustainability project at the University of Oslo, Norway. Right now we are on a road trip in the US and Canada to attend the ISCN and CHESC conferences and to learn from the universities along the west coast: UBC, PSU, UO, UC Davis, Stanford and Berkeley. Here we where back at UBC for day two of the visit. This day was mostly focused on waste management and safety. Here: regulatory requirements for tracking radioisotopes. Yep, universites can be dangerous places.

Not only does UBC have their own student garden, of course they do. They even have their own farmers market! That garden must be quite big. Unfortunately we didn't get to see it, as it was little outside of the campus center.
