i think being the oldest sibling can be a self-imposed burden like you expect of yourself to take the brunt of anything, especially in an abusive family like the todorokis. shoto being the youngest todoroki who makes it his responsibility to fix things is tragic but also so beautiful to me like he's trying so hard to reach and save his older brother and he does so in the end, so i wanted to draw sth that shows shoto's love for his older brother is kinda stubborn and unconditional like he will embrace dabi whether he wants to or not (he does), it's an unfamiliar but comforting closeness for both of them :)
