Hey! I have a genuine question about ableism: I totally and completely understand how calling things r*tarted is ableist because that's an actual condition/disorder(?) - but I don't understand how terms like id*ot and st*pid and cr*zy are ableist. I'd like to understand more?

I guess it would be because those words are associated w mental disorders/illnesses! I’m not exactly 100% positive but i just tag them and ask whoever comes into my inbox w a question to refrain from using those words out of respect for the many anons who have asked! I would be willing to learn more so if any one has anyone else to say!
