If you're a Customer of TalkTalk then I'm afraid you'll be waking to some bad news:- "Police are investigating a "significant and sustained cyber-attack" on the TalkTalk website, the UK company says. It’s often all to easy to be reactive from a Customer Service perspective rather than proactive.
So, what do we mean by being proactive?
grumpstr can help Companies to determine the root causes of poor Customer Service be that in processes or technology.
In a recent example, an energy company received a complaint from a Customer who was struggling to submit their meter readings online.
They were quick to react (OK within 2 hours!) to the Customer to offer an alternative mechanism for submitting a meter reading however will they undertake root cause analysis?
In this example, the poor design of their site meant the Customer was presented with a long error message listing several potential reasons why their meter reading could not be sent.
A better Customer experience would be to present more meaningful and focused error messages or even suggest amendments to the meter reading the Customer had submitted.
Resulting in better Customer experience, no complaint, no passing the Customer to another channel and of course reduced operating costs.
