Self destructive sadness
I am sitting in a car with one seat
The doors are locked
There lies a dangerous cliff in front of me
You sit on the outside insisting I let you in
Maybe I have a key to the door
Maybe there is more than one seat
But you cannot get in
I’m trapped because I am the lock and the key
There wouldn’t be a place for you to sit even if you got in
And as you yell to me, you’re sweet words slide off the glass
I cannot hear you over the engine of my one seater car
I am driving off the cliff and you do not possess the strength to stop me nor do I possess the strength to let you
