real situations they put peter parker into #grateful
SPIDERMAN BND SPOILERS!!!!!!
i love peter & mj together but i really appreciate the fact that the movie didn't have an easy fix to the spell. like she doesn't just suddenly get her memories back, and after reading the letter she doesn't just fall back in love (bc he is still just a stranger to her!!). she gets to be a little angry that part of her life was torn away, but is also aware that both her & ned mean a lot to peter and is kind to him, inviting him to the apartment and letting him decide if he wants to tell ned. the nwh ending was a huge moment for peter & before this movie came out i was a little worried they'd just kinda undo / gloss over it, but they're actually working through the consequences and fallout which was so nice
Inspired by The Lobster poster
am i late HAHA
Just checking in on each other
Both parts together below
frank using the spidey-tracker app to find peter I’m so sick
i think when Frank says ‘you look exactly how I thought you would. nice kid.’ It’s because he’s been picturing his own son who would’ve been close to peter’s age by then, and Frank would’ve been so proud to have a son like him papa frank you are real to me
Got obsessed with the dynamic of these losers
Spider-Man Brand New Day was such a fun movie, man
Why is it always grumpy men adopting traumatized children
Y/N: *gently taps the table*
Frank: *taps the table back*
MJ: What are they doing?
Peter: *used to their shit* Morse code.
Y/N: *aggressively taps table*
Frank: *pushing his chair back and slamming his hands down* YOU TAKE THAT SHIT BACK-
In its right place
spoilers for spider man brand new day
how happy do you guys think frank was at the end of the hospital scene?
for years, that man spent gruelling, uncomfortable isolation that he believes only someone like him can endure. it's not a lifestyle, it's a sentence.
and yet, the faces of children being joyous for spider-man, the adults respecting spider-man, and the people of new york all coming together to thank their hero, all while frank was under the mask.
do you guys think he thought back to his conversation with peter at the boathouse? about how he called peter a coward for hiding behind his mask, being something he isn't, yet that very mask would lead to frank getting the praise he always thought he didn't deserve, all the while pretending to be someone he's not.
maybe he understood peter a bit more after that. not only did he finally see the face of spider-man, but also why he chooses to stay masked.
yelena & potatoes everywhere (good)
The joy I genuinely felt explaining to my family who Frank Castle is and why the movie did such a great job portraying him and his relationship with Peter/Spiderman, and why Peter sacrificing himself for Jean Grey was so fucking good because FINALLY someone is protecting her instead of treating her like a disobedient mutt that needs to be collared or put down, and Frank almost losing Peter because of his "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality having a bigger impact on Frank than any debate/argument they had about his use of lethal force, and Peter sharing his memory of Aunt May's unconditional love for him with Jean so that she can understand that his apology is not only sincere but he's always seen her as a person, and then Jean using her powers to keep him alive because he's the one person in her life since her sister died who showed genuine care and concern for her, I'M A MESS 😭😭😭😭😭😭
